Read what the guy with a clue (not you) is saying - its not a DNS problem. If it were a DNS problem you'd be able to get to them by their numeric IP - you can't (and I'll go slow for you here) therefore its not a DNS Problem.

How could you comment several times on an issue you obviously haven't a clue on? Oops I take that back, if you only posted when you had a clue you'd never post, and that would surely suck. I for one know I would miss the 15K odd posts you have accumulated on these boards. Keep up the DRIVEL!!!

Go to security 101 at your local community college & you'll learn that you can prevent logins via direct IP address hits if you have the right firewall (security "hole" fix)

My tracert succeeds through 15 hops to pinnacle.antillean-network.com which looks like it could be their gateway machine in Curacao. After that it just times out.

From my limited knowledge I believe this is consistent with a DDOS (distributed denial of service attack). Elsewhere I posted odds of the site being available tomorow. These are kind of off the wall based upon engineers flying in to fix their problem.

It will be interesting to follow this story. Certainly not worried about the few bucks in my account.

I can't get in. So far as my posted odds go these relate to regular service.

I'd guess it's DOS, but this stuff isn't my forte either ...
this is more a network admin/firewall guy issue.

I noticed very brief problems with some other Curacao (sp?) books ... but I don't suspect that there are an abundance of ISP's there ... so it could just be a congestion side-effect with the others ...

I honestly don't know. I'm just a software guy

Keep in mind that it could just be problems with their ISP if all the sites are on one.
