If you had the White Sox today you may realize that It was Rios hitting in the 3rd slot today that probably lost the game for them.....he was as unproductive as usual. I was silly enough not to change the large Sox wager I had put in last night when I saw Rios was batting 3rd today, so I deserve the blame....but man does that guy suck.

I thought it was a great move on the Jays part to let the guy go for nothing. He retired the minute he got that big contract.

I'd bet Guillen is pretty harsh on his poor play behind closed doors. I don't think any of his teammates have warmed up to him with good reason.

Rios is probably wishing he had tried a little harder and stayed in Toronto, with a less serious atmosphere.

Had the luxury to see him play quite a few times when he was actually busting his balls down in AAA here in Syracuse (when they were still tied to Toronto.) Was quite a player...sad to see him fall so much over the past few seasons. Looked like he had a shot at being a 25/100/285ish player up until that staph infection a few years ago

This idiot reminds me of jose cruz jr for some reason
if you recall many expected cruz jr to be a superstar
I remember when one of cruz's rookie graded cards was selling for 300 on ebay...now you couldnt sell that card for 3 dollars....same pos as rios.

Guy turned into a real prima donna the past couple seasons after signing the big deal. All the talent in the world but his head just isn't in the game and he makes some of the stupidest errors that makes fans groan and managers tear their hair out. I think the White Sox are on the hook for 60 million over next 5 years or close to that, one of the few moves I've liked by Jays GM Riccardi, letting him go for nothing.. even hard for JP to screw that one up.

Alot of MLB players are A-holes. I remember being a young kid, and I asked Bobby Abreu for an autograph, and he rejected. What a prick. But Jim Thome once autographed a Phillies flag that I have, along with Jimmy Rollins and Placido Polanco.

I was wondering what in the world Kenny Williams was thinking when he took on his contract. You really have to question some of his movies recently, Rios is anything but a winner.

He'll be waived soon enough and they'll eat the gigantic contract.
