You're right. I was much more of a student than I was an athlete. I have much more in common with the Russians from Brighton Beach than I do with the blond haired blue eyed Valley Boys from SoCal.
I have gone to every Saturday home game at Shea Stadium for the past 10 years +. When I was a kid, my father would wait for me outside of Gate E. I would get off the 7 train and he would point out the ticket scalpers. He said, "Son, make sure you stay in school and go to college so you dont end up like those bottom feeders."
