Gimnasia - Colo Colo, Copa Sudamericana

Im back, so im going to post my pick for the sudamericana cup, thanks to soprano for the San Lorenzo pick.

I think too many people wont like this pick or thread, but this is my choice:

Gimnasia Esgrima La Plata ML -160 2 units

Many reasons:

-They are playing in Argentina where is it a different scenario than Chile, much much different (if not you can ask Toluca, one my favorites)
-There wont be any Colo Colo fans, only gimnasias. Madness.
-This is the only chance that Gimnasia have in order to make a good year, cause they are not doing well on their championship.
-They need to win and they have to score, so at home with their fans, they are going forward and attack since the begining of the game (although this could be dangerous)
-The score in Chile could be a little bit far away from what really happened in the game (if you watched it, from my point of view one goal was offside and the penalty kick was not even close from being a penalty kick)
-Colo Colo, they dont need to win, they can advanced to the next round even loosing 2-0 in this game. They will be playing carefully.
-Gimnasia La Plata in their last 8 home games, 5 wins, 2 defeats and 1 draw.

I have to think your reasoning is why the line is like this for this match. Gimnasia is at home and will have the fans behind them and have been winning by 1 goal at recent home matches. However, I find them to be a middle-of-the-table team while Colo is at the top of their league.

As far as the first game went I heard that Colo controlled the game and had a few shots that should have gone in that didn't. Colo won big against Alajuelense in the first match and continued to pour it on in the second even though they didn't need to win. If any team can win while being a 4 to 1 underdog it's Colo so I've decided to put a little down on a Colo win.

That being said, I believe you are right when you say Gimnasia will attack. From what I've read, Colo will employ 3 attackers so they will also be aggressive. I really believe that Over 2.75 is the play here. How do you feel about that bet?

Youre on your own liking the favourite in that game. There has been very strong money for the dog and the draw. No one wants anything to do with the favourite with the books.

It's a gutsy play, and I don't like those, The reasoning does seem good tho.....

I would like the over also, but if Gimnasia scores first Colo Colo will slow the game, therefore a low score game.....

Taking those things in consideration I wouldn't play the over and if any side, Gimnasia as said before EVER SO GENTLY:toast:

QL! I think the over will be a good play considering that both teams will play offensively tonight in order to advance to the next round.

Actually you are right about Colo being a better team than Gimnasia, but also this will be the second time (Universidad Catolica de Chile first time) that a soccer team from Chile advance to semifinals in any cup in southamerica.

So, good luck in your play QL!!! At least someone is going to win tonight!!
