Also, I dont give a shit about being with or without the public. It makes no difference to me as I will win with the public and win with the non-public.

As for tonights card being square, I don't see it...

Iowa +5.5 (2 Units)---Way more on MSU
Clemson +1 (2 Units)---Even
Arkansas -5.5 (2 Units)---Pretty public
Rutgers +8 (2 Units)---Way More on Hall
Gonzaga -8 (2 Units)---More on St. Marys
UCLA -8.5 (2 Units)---More on Cal
Arizona +1.5 (2 Units)---More on Wash<!-- / close content container --><!-- open content container -->

dont even look at that crap, make your bets, look at matchups, injuries, stats. I dont care where the public is at either

thats where the fundamental difference in mentality comes in. i think you can find more things that can give you a better chance in focusing all your time on 1-2 games instead of the whole card.

i just don't think you can succeed playing all those games because your sacrificing some important variables because you don't have the time to cover everything.

i'd look at the games, find 4 games i like. spend an hour on each game, and eliminate them 1 by 1 until I had 2 i like. playing the whole card you scan the card, instead of go into it in depth. just my opinion of course, i just see too often playing all these games ends up leading you nowhere.

Point well taken. I typically go down the card, like tonight. 60 game card I thinned to 20 potential plays. Quick glances at past schedule, opponents, stats, trends, splits and cut it down to 10. From there I go in depth for like half hour each about. Maybe less, maybe more, then I decide if it is a play or not. Sometimes I will get 1 play, more often I will get 3-6 plays, it all varies. I like to enjoy this, I take it very seriously but I am not here to grind out 2 plays over a 5 hour span and go from there. I have been very successful and I have a buisness on the side. I play what I like and try to hit my % and come out ahead, which I usually do.

Everyone has thier styles. Like I said yesterday, I went for +104 units in the NFL playing with the public/against the public and usually with 7-10 plays on a Sunday that I found an edge in. However, I have seen guys like Randizzle play 2-4 games on a 60 game card and make the 100 units.

I agree with gtc and add to the fact that Dawg and Gimme should not weight their bets....flat bet each game the same. If these 2 would have been doing this, both of their unit stacks would be double what they are now.

I flat bet most for 2 units. However:

4 Units: 5-2
5 Units: 2-0
6 Units: 1-0

Actually 3 units was as of beginning of Jan.

Public and line movement will just drive you crazy. I played ND for my biggest play of the year with the public on them heavy. I played Wisconsin for my 2nd biggest with the public against them pretty heavy.

I won both, fading the public will break you even IMO.

if i like the bet enough i'll bet it if the public is on it. if the public is on it and the line is dropping like the titanic i'd get off it asap, like that arkansas game.

i do agree with fbeye as well. you should not like one bet more than the other. that's a mistake i see a lot. all yours look straight tonight at 2 though.

we just disagree on the amount of plays though. you see it as a way to success, i don't. fair enough, agree to disagree. from my experience i just have been way more successful focusing on a couple games than a big board of plays. as long as you make money though i guess doesnt matter how you get there.

Agree...it doesnt matter how you get there. Also, the Arkansas game does worry me a bit. If they were on the road I would probably hop off. But, them being at home I am going to go with it. I like that play a lot. That Bama program is in shambles.

Gimme... 161-142 -6.00 units explains my position....nobody should ever be minus units 19 games above .500.

Yea I get what your saying now. I think I got some 3 unit woes. I haven't lost any of my big plays though.
