is there a chance that the oddsmakers have overeacted to week 1 games
i think both Giants and Vikes win but i am not keen on laying Giants 7.5 and Vikes 8
but i can tease the Vikes down to 6.5 for 5/8 and also tease the Giants to 6.5 for 20/29
obv the vig is cos they cross key numbers

any input? i dont want a backdoor cover so am thinking of teasing. dont wanna spend all game sweating. you think both will cover the line without teasing?

I think the Vikes are far more likely to cover than the Giants.

I'd be wary of teasing both these games. One of them is bound to disappoint. I pick Giants as most likely to play a nailbiter or even lose.

Minnesota appears to be a heavy public play. Everyone is on it. Yet I think the oddsmakers may actually be making a mistake by goading the action onto Minnesota. The line probably accounts for the Bears/Vikes history in the black and blue division, a history of bad blood and close games.

The real trend to look at is Kordell Stewart's performance over the last couple years. He flat out stinks. There's no way the Bears or any other team in the league will cover 8 pts vs. Minnesota this week with Kordell in the pocket. I've never believed Dick Jauron was a very good coach either, but Kordell is the clincher.

I think in this case, the public gets lucky because the oddsmakers have outsmarted themselves.

Call me a sucker, but I will bet against Kordell every time.

Stay off the Giants though, especially as part of a teaser.
