Ghosting in the Forums

It has come to my attention as of late of how many ghosts I think there are in these forums. You see new name after new name everyday, posting GOY's and betting "units". How many new people really know that term or other gambling lingo that they use? Yet, they act like they are brand new here. Thats not the case however, it seems like people are just making new names cause they lost respect on their old ones, or want to try to start a new name and act like they have been capping forever and actually know what they are doing. I can probably point out at least 15 guys in each the CBB and NBA forum alone that is doing this. I dont know what can be done, but I think some new order at the RX needs to take place, maybe even using some of the other ideas that were brought up such as having to only post in a certain area until a # is reached or something. But it's getting out of control in my opinion. I still enjoy the site, but I just wish that these clowns who come and go regularly were held to a minimum.

The forum code doesn't allow the option of restricting one ip per pc or email address? I think it's time to separate the touts, ghosts, and annoying kids with the people who want real information. A new veteran's forum is a fantastic idea and it could still be lurked by all users, but it won't be cluttered up by garbage threads that you see in the main forums now.

Dawoofdaddy is right, please make a list of poster names that are ghosts and I will be glad to check them out for you. Any that proove to be ghosts I will expose in this thread, the others you can apologise to.

Dont you all think that Mods dont want to get rid of ghost's so it makes site look bigger.

Unless a ghost is a real problem they arent really going to care or it wouldnt even let you sign up another name under the same IP.

maybe you should have "report bad post" caption then people can hit submit..

Correct although Be Cool only contained a brief reference on a movie billboard. Gene Hackman was hilarious as Harry Zim in Get Shorty which starred John Travolta as Chili Palmer (as did Be Cool).
