Normally I would agree, that an MMA fighter has no shot against Mayweather

In his last fight though when McGregor dropped Alvarez with that combination, I thought it was two punches until I saw the slow mo replay, and it was 4 punches. Have never seen a combo that quick at any weight class in MMA.

Also, Mayweather has at least a couple inch reach advantage on almost all his opponents. McGregor has a couple inch reach advantage on Mayweather I believe.

I can believe what I reading here. In a MMA or street fight, McGregor wins easily. Put on the gloves and box, Mayweather wins just as easily. It 2 totally different sports.

I wish Mayweather was a few years younger. He's slowed down considerably a few years ago. Lace up the gloves and Connor doesn't stand a chance against a 40 yo Mayweather. If they step inside the octagon I don't think Mayweather has the foot speed anymore. Ten years ago I think he could have won on Connor's turf.

In a boxing match Connor would get ko'd by Floyd. Night and day in ability. Connor wouldn't connect and big difference between boxing gloves and mma gloves. Put mma gloves on Floyd and he ko's opponents too.

McGregor wouldn't be able to compete in boxing with any top 20 welterweights, nevermind Mayweather.

The striking isn't really the same as far as timing, hip movement and footwork go. It's just a different sport.

His power probably wouldn't even translate to bigger gloves.

which is exactly why a good fighter would use a jab to set up the right hand and not lead with it. esp when you throw it that slo, unless it was in slo mo or something ha. floyd aint doing that man.
