Any thoughts on the Germany/US game? I know Donovan is out and heard that Beasley also is. I am usually loathe to play friendlies, but without those two, on German soil, I think you have to like Germany.

And this is not even the best U.S. team to come to Germany's North Rhine-Westphalia state, with club commitments and injuries leaving the Americans without Landon Donovan, Brian McBride, Claudio Reyna, DaMarcus Beasley, Oguchi Onyewu and Eddie Lewis.

If Germany loose this game with the USA playing without 6 keyplayers i think they don't need to start playing the WC at all. They should quit playing soccer. They are playing at home in front of 80000 and with all the pressure talking of media after italy desaster they should win, but who knows? If they can't beat this b-team of USA they should really quit.A lot of people wanted to fire Headcoach Klinsmann after italy game right away. Just imagine what will be going on in Germany if they loose today. I am really not to confident about the quality of this german squad, but i can not imagine that they are so stupid and risking a hurricane with a loss before the WC.

yeah well you are right and I pretty pissed off that I missed this but lately germany doesn't look like easy money even if they are facing at home to a packed crowd the catholic primary school girl team (with injuries and suspensions) and getting +3 goals on the ah. And EVEN if the catholic lassies get three players sent of in the first minutes, AND hoyzer is officiating the game, AND you are betting on a bonus account with your neigboors money at a no vig offer by the book, in a "lose get half your money back" promotion...:missingte
