Today is start of Bundesliga.
Here are the friday s picks:

2. Bundesliga

Oberhausen- Berlin: Oberhausen -0.5 @ 2.03

Oberhausen was a solid team already last season and should have improved for this eason. They are a strong home team and followed good preseason results with a solid win last week in cup.
Berlin just promoted from 3.Liga and is still looking to find the right team. they will be strong at home but should have trouble in away games. they have started the season with a 0-5 home loss to Bremen last week in cup. not to over-react on that, but definetely not a boost for confidence.

St. Pauli- Ahlen: Ahlen +1 @1.80 and over 2.5,3 @1.90

St. Pauli is a very strong home team, but -1 goal is a lot to look for as Ahlen is a dangerous team and proved already in good form by beating 3.Liga leader Burghausen last week in cup away match.
in last 3 games between the teams at St.Pauli the results were 2-2,1-4,3-2..always lots of goals. St.Pauli was a very high scoring team last season anyway and i see the same this year. they will definetely get on the board at home , but should be vulnurable enough on defense to allow Ahlen also some scoring. especially as i expect Ahlen not to play too defensive minded with the cup win and the confidence of usual good results at Pauli

1. Bundesliga

Wolfsburg- Stuttgart: Wolfsburg -0.5 @ 2.0 and over 2.5,3 @ 1.83

already a top match to start the season.
Wolfsburg the champion kept almost all players and looked great in pre-season, super cup and cup already. they were by far the most dangerous offensive team last season and also very very strong at home..i dont see a change in that for now.
Stuttgart lost their top striker Gomez to München and had no prominent new players till last week,which made me worring a bit.
But last week they got Hleb and Progrebnyak from St.Petersburg. they will be both starting (latest news from TV). that makes STuttgart a very dangerous team which will not sit back.
Still Wolfsburg should be better as we have to see how well the newcomers fit into Stuttgart team after just a few days...lots of offense in guaranteed here anyway enjoy the game if you can see it.

Saturday: Early games

new kick-off times this season in Germany due to TV.
We have now two 2. Bundesliga games also on Saturday and one "top game of 1.Liga" in evening.
2. Liga is kicking off early at 7 am ET (1.pm local). 3.Liga remains at 8 am ET (2 pm local)

Ingolstadt- Erfurt: Ingolstadt -0.5 @ 1.75

Ingolstadt coming down from 2.Liga had an OK start by winning the home game and loosing away.
Erfurt is strugggling big time on offense playing 0-0 and 0-2 so far. i am going with the -0.5 as this could be a low scoring game.

Braunschweig- Kiel: Braunschweig pk,-0.5 @ 1.95

Braunschweig is one of the top teams in the league. they started with a good 0-0 away draw followed by a 1-0 home win where they are usually strong.
Kiel ,which is coming up from Regionalliga lost the first two games. i expect Kiel not to be a walk over during the season, but right now they have problems to adjust to the league..still there is hugh money coming their direction (and already the first two games)..the line already moved from -0.5 to -0.25, but i have no idea why.
anyway to get Braunschweig at home for -0.25 over a freshly promoted team is a very solid play.

Offenbach- Osnabrück: under 2,2.5 @ 1.95

both teams are expected to play for promotion. both had a good start and have shown that they are playing from strong defense. Offenbach played 0-0 and 2-0, while OSnabrüch started 1-0 and 0-1.
especially in a game between top teams i expect both to play very careful and avoiding mistakes. this could be a 0-0 or 1-0 type of game.

1. Bundesliga

Mainz- Leverkusen: Leverkusen -0.5 @ 2.0

Mainz freshly promoted from 2.Liga already fired their coach last week after cup loss against a lower league team. so they have already bad vibes going around.
Leverkusen is the better team here for sure and they usually start strong in the seasons. they should have a good chance to do the same this year,even with an away win, against a struggling Mainz team which will fight against relegation from the first game on.

Bremen- Frankfurt: Bremen -1,-1.5 @1.92 !! 2 units !!

Bremen will be stronger this year than last year, even with Diego leaving to Juve and Pizzaro is back in Chelsea (that might change in the next few weeks). But they have Borowski back from Munich in mid-field and Ozil has already shown he can take over the game for Diego.
They had good pre-season results and had a dominating start in the season with last week s 5-0 away win at 2.Liga Union Berlin.
Frankfurt has problems all over the place as a few key-players are out with injury. after a terrible pre-season they came back with a solid cup win last week, but Bremen is a complete deifferent level than last week Offenbach

Berlin- Hannover: Berlin -0.5 @ 1.87 !! 2 units!!

Berlin played over their head last year. they will be not as strong , but still one of the better teams. This is mainly a play against Hannover anyway. Hannover is missing six "starters" with injury. the result was already a cup loss last week against a 4th division team. there will be also no additions from their b-team as within the b-team there is swine-flu.
anyway..their defense looked last week as vulnurable as last season,where they have conceided most goals in league and even with Berlin having some question marks for me it should be enough for a home win.

Nürnberg- Schalke: Schalke pk,-0.5 @ 2.00

no real new players for Schalke compared to last season, but they have now Magath as coach, who led Wolfsburg to the surprising championship last season. overall i expect them to be more solid than last season and amoung the top 6 teams.
Nürnberg just promoted from 2.Liga and is playing with a similar team than in 2.Liga.
for me it s simply a play on the better team, as Schalke usually is strong in away games and i dont see much of a home advantage for Nürnberg..they will be overwhelmed with their first game back in Bundesliga.
