two low scoring teams here. they have been last season and started again like that this season (Rostock 0-0, Aue 0-1). expect much of the same here.

Regionalliga Nord

Leverkusen - Union Berlin: Union Berlin pk @ 1.877

Same as last week. We still get great value with Union just becaus ethey are coming up from lower league. But they will be one of the top teams this season. They have startet with a 3-0 away win and a 2-0 home win.
Leverkusen meanwhile got only one point from 3 matches and will play against relegation probably all year.

solid start in the weekend with one win and a push

Saturday:

1. Bundesliga

Dortmund- Mainz: Dortmund -0.5,-1 @ 1.87

Dortmund got a good team together this year and can make a run for some european spots for the first time since 3 or 4 years. they started witha disappointing 0-2 loss at München, but today they havehome advantage which is normally very big for them.
Mainz started with a win over newcomer Bochum (2-1), but was very l ucky in that win with Bochum outplaying them for most of the match. Mainz will play against relegation as they did last year and they will again have to rely on points at home. Away they should again not get too many.

Cottbus- Hamburg: Under 2.5 @ 1.87

That s my strongest play of the day in Bundesliga.
Cottbus coming up from 2.Liga lost very unlucky 0-2 at Gladbach. They were at least equally as good, but struggled big time to convert scoring chances. their top 3 strikers (they had 70 % of their goals last year) are all out with suspension or injury at the moment.
Hamburg, as i wrote for almost every game in the last 2 weeks, is struggeling big time on offense. They played great vs. Ossasuna in CL Quali, but couldnt score (0-0). They struggled gain big time in a 1-1 home draw to Bielfeld last week. You can not expect a change for today s game. especially with Hamburg possibly already concentrating on the Ossasuna re-match coming on Tuesday. They will play defense first. Cottbus also shouldnt get under too much pressure playing at home, which is usually their strength. I see two teams neutralizing themselves.

Aachen- Schalke: Schalke -0.5 @ 1.85

I ll go against Aachen until they show me that they belong in the league. They lost 0-3 at Leverkusen last week, but it could have been far worse.They have usually a great atmosphere in their "little,old" stadium, but expect also many schalke supporters their as it is not too far away. The home field advantage will be big for them in a "night-atmosphere" but this will be played at 3.30 pm.
Schalke had a disappointing start with a 1-1 home draw to frankfurt. A game they should have won easily. but that s how football goes. one chance for frankfurt was enough for a draw. they will bounce back today as they are the way better team.

Regionalliga up in 5 minutes.

Regionalliga Nord:

Kiel - Dortmund : Kiel -1 @ 1.87

Clear mismatch here. Kiel one of the best teams in the league at home against a newcomer in the league.

Gladbach- Wuppertal: Wuppertal pk,-0.5 @ 2.04

Wuppertal will definetely play for promotion this year. they are off a very solid start and shouldhave a great chance to get the next away win at Gladbach, which is a newcomer to the league and started with 3 losses in the season.

Sunday

1. Bundesliga

Bochum- München: München -0.5, -1 @ 1.87 and under 2.5,3 @ 1.855

Bochum newcomer in the league played a solid match at Mainz last week, outplayed them but lost 1-2. You cannot read too much into that game, but from the past the team is always very motivated vs. Bayern at home. BUT they never win. Bochum could only win one of last 16 !! home games vs. München. München on the other hand got quickly back on track with a solid 2-0 home win over Dortmund after a shaky pre-season. so they should be focused again to have a good start in the season, which means getting the away win today. Only problem today is the injury of Ismael (defense) who broke his leg during the week and will be out for 6 Month. But the defense should still be strong enough for Bochum.
The under is based on the fact that München will normally shut down in away games after taking the lead. They will not play uncontrolled offense and are able to hold a 1-0 lead against every team. So if bayern scores first the under should be a winner.

Bielefeld- Stuttgart: Under 2.5 @ 1.83

I started too play almost every under in Bielefeld home games and did very well. Why change it this year? They are still very solid on defense and play defense first even in home games. But in home games the danger of conceiding many goals is nott too gigh as teams like stuttgart will also be happy to get a point. Bielefeld started with a 1-1 draw at Hamburg and Stuttgart lost 0-3 at home to Nürnberg. This result will make them even more focus on defense today, as the goals were mainly by counter attack and a point is very important for them to calm the public down a bit.

2. Bundesliga

Köln- Burghausen: Köln -1,-1.5 @ 2.03 !! 2 units!!

Köln the big pre-season favourite for promotion started with a solid 2-0 win at Augsburg. They played not great , but have shown they are much better than most teams in that league and can dominate every team if they want. They are allready a solid team playing well together which is a big advantage at the start of the season. At home 40.000 fans are expected today which is amazing for 2.liga and should give thema great boost. Burghausen got to the worst start you can have. they lost 0-4 at home in a derby to Karlsruhe. Big problems on defense which is not a good sign if you play Köln away. Last game between them they l ost 1-8 at Köln two years ago.

Regionalliga Nord:

Hamburg- Lübeck: under 2.5 @ 2.05

Lübeck has started with 3 wins in the season. all 1-0. so they are very strong on defense and know how to win games. Hamburg witha mixed start. lost at home but got 4 points in 2 away games.
I was thinking about maybe taking the Lübeck pk,-0.5 as this should also be a good pick. just dont want to risk 2 units on that game.

Karlsruhe- Kaiserslautern: Karlsruhe pk,-0.5 @ 2.05

Karlsruhe started last week with a 4-0 away win. i expect them to be one of the top 5 teams this year. they played already a good second half last season and are definetely aiming for promotion with a solid team.
Kaiserslautern got relegated from 1.liga and started with a lucky 1-0 home win over newcomer Essen. They will also play for promotion, but they will struggle a bit to keep pace with the top teams. They lost a lot of players and built a new team which has to find themselves. At the moment they have injury problems especially on offense.
The stadium at Karlsruhe is a sell-out tonight and the home support will be huge for a very confident and motivated team. Everything looks like a home win.
