I'm a Cottbus fan so my heart is broken by this defeat which means there will be no club from Eastern Germany in the Bundesliga next year, but I didn't notice anything suspicious. Cottbus missed their first chances, Nuernberg scored an early lucky goal, and from that point on the Cottbus players didn't seem to really believe in themselves and that they could still win this. They tried, but having never been really strong offensively and missing some players it's not that surprising that they failed to really put on decisive pressure. Nuernberg counterattacked well and could have scored even more when several Cottbus players seemed to have given up after the 0-2.
