It does not amaze me any more about how stupid players are and how shady books are, you want to put 10 dimes on soccer pick up the phone and call it in, you don' put 18 bets in, that just looks sneaky, and the book of course waits till the wager loses then brings it up, screw BG and screw this jackass for not calling it in, I call it a toss up.

ACW - NO Sir, the software doesn't allow it. A bug did. Meaning that you cannot place multiple bets unless you use a workaround . Let me give you an example :

Suppose you go to an ATM and withdraw money up to your daily limit. While doing your operation you find out that by punching in a sequence of number the ATM does NOT register your transaction and allows you to withdraw again and again and again and again....so, instead of reporting your findings to the Bank, with which you've had a normal and more than satisfactory relationship for some time, you start withdrawing money exploiting the bug you've found.

There is something called bona fide. I see little if none in this case.
It is clear to me now that majbrit did not use some high tech software to get multiple bets on, but simply repeated them. Do you not think banks simply double check these kind of things before they put an ATM machine in place? They do! And Betbg? Sorry! These guys are not even new! If this problem existed in their software they should have corrected it long time ago.

The book should pay.

They took the bets so now it looks like they are taking a shot.

Amazing that some think its OK for the book to take a shot yet if a player does it then he is the scum of the earth.
Talk about a double standard.

Why do I get the feeling that is NOT the actual bet ticket?

TOW, you stated way back in the beginning of this crap, that YOU SAW THE TICKET WITH YOUR OWN EYES. Then there seems to be numerous posts after this fact, implying that you're not sure what the ticket stated.

To top it off, and I think this has been brought up by another poster: It was stated that BG had cancelled wagers placed over their limit, some of these wagers included losing tickets. IF this was in fact the case, then BG would post that here, everyone would agree that they are in the right here, and be done with it.

Something very fishy is going here, and I am inclinded to believe Maj, he appears to be the only party involved who's been consistant in his story.

Just my$.02, don't mean sqaut, lol.
I hope you get paid dude, you should IMO.

BG is clearly in the wrong here... Pay the man his money. I'm sure this isn't the first time something like this has happened. Its funny how on some lines it wont let you go over the book limit and others it will. Programmed that way perhaps?

How is betting 20 tickets scamming? I've done 5-10 tickets at many books that allow it. If the software lets you bet, you must acquit!

Really what it comes down to is the real sharps/middlers/in the know are on the side of the player buut the wannabes, degenerates, low limit betters are pro book. Why? because they never do anything that could cause this kind of crap. When you are a high limit better you run into stuff about 10x more often than the average player. Simply because their is more money involved.

I dont know majbrit but my inclination is that he middled this game vs another book and its common when you have a juicy middle to try to get the maximum of maximums down, especially when its a freeroll. There is no scam in that.

Ticket Net 2,000

This ticket was placed on the same game of the 18 bets ticket, this time 4 times.

These are some of the tickets that I have seen, but the only ones that BG has so far retrieved. Players familiar with this software immediately see that these tickets are all genuine. Last, but not least, I have not changed my position on this matter throughout the thread. BG has acted in a very sloppy way however maj has found the way to circumvent the book's limit. He correclty said that the limit was not posted on the web site, but any player trying to place a bet greater than $ 500 would have easily seen it popping up on the screen. The only way to avoid that and circumvent the limit is to do a couple of actions which no one would ever do out of intention. By doing so the bug allows the player to place multiples of the same bet within the same ticket, depriving the book from its right to change the line. Maj could have placed 22 single bets, but I have reason to believe that the book would have MOST definitely changed the line. With his system they could not. This is the basis of honesty between the player and the book.

How is making a bet with a risk of it losing theft?

The book waiting until the result is known to cancel the wager is theft.

Books that take shots like this should be exposed.

areeff,

BG software does not allow it, the bug and its related workaround does. No one here says maj could have not placed ten dimes on the bet. He should have simply called in, like ALL honest big players do.

And BG should have seen their exposure before the result was known. BG dropped the ball.

Areef is another scammer. You know what they say -- birds of a something steal together or something like that.

His logic would be that if somebody didn't have their wallet stapled to their as$ then it would be the victims fault for getting pocketed -- even if the theif is caught they stole it fair and square, so it's theirs.

When a book is unaware of their exposure (10k?) on a bet and cancels only after an event is decided they need to review SOP's. 101 guys, 101.

General,

100% correct. BG has acted in a very, very, very sloppy way. This said the player has intentionally taken advantage of the situation several times.

In my years at Royal I recall having had to deal with a case similar to this one only once. All the bets but the first were deleted prior to the game going off the board. But it was foots, and we didn't run soccer. I am quiete certain that when a book hangs number on a minor sport a situation like this could occur. If the player had done it once then the bet should be honored. But a player repeatedly taking advantage of it, and placing multiple bets increasing the pops every time well.....you know my opinion.

Pete,
When criminals steal and are caught which of the following scenarios is most likely

A. State say, damn you got us -- keep the goodies, but we'll be watching
B. Illegitimate funds are confiscated and appropriate measures are taken

I am against rewarding scammers for their scams.

Who is the scammer? The player who made several wagers which were accepted and known to BG? Or the book whom awaited the result to rule? I call Bullchit. Someone at BG knew of this 10k wager on soccer and awaited the result to decide on the way they would grade it.

Wow there is a lot of stuff here.

Did BG have ample time to cancel these wagers before the start of the match? If so and they didn't they should pay this guy. Cancel BEFORE the event goes off not after. The players don't work for the books. There is no written requirement that says the player must notify the book of any problems with the software.

IF BG has a "reserve the right to cancel any wager at any time" clause they could enact it here but they should pay this guy and close his account and let him on his way.

To me this sounds like both parties are guilty of something...but like it or not for BG they should pay the winner and move on.
