It is a shame that all this title does is gain attention for the attention seeking poster. The people that are new to the board or are looking for some glimmer of hope on Sat. or Sunday. It's almost as bad as a tout or service. It is a shame but how many of these GOY's are their in one week.

I know something should be done about it.. Seriously Beating Vegas has a Game of the Year every week. I feel bad for the newbies who don't know better and follow his stuff because of the title under his name that mentions the contest he won last year.. Pretty sad.................................

I did not single him out gyno only because I do not feel like going back and forth, and not that my record is on fire either, but you and I know when people come to a forum and are in need of a winner, they see the title and are drawn to it. Oh well, gonna make my game of the year this weekend. Just kidding bro, good luck this weekend.

it's weak, most of the respected guys on here will just let you know they really like the play without the amateurish attention-whore tactics, i just laugh at these guys with a GOY every week or twice a month, it's ridiculous...

This was the first thing that made me lose instant respect for beating.vegas. I continuously found myself clicking on some sort of a game of the year thread all of the time to glance at it, and I realized that it was always the same guy making a game of the year thread: beating.vegas. As I began watching him and these "daily GOY's", it became quickly apparent that this guy was clueless about handicapping such as taking -300 faves in baseball, then winning and bragging about it, practically playing the entire card and thinking he has some kind of a long term advantage that way, and attenion whore tactics. As I began to wonder if I should fade him, it became obvious he was full of himself, racist, and near-illiterate.

In a recent gyno discussion thread about Minnesota -2.5 over Purdue, I offered my .02 cents that I thought Minny was a trap. beating.vegas said to hit Minnesota hard. Fine, nothing wrong with that. But then in his thread he had a big play on Purdue.

I could really go on and on about this guy, but I just kind of grew away from watching him and havnt wasted my time clicking on his bullshit.

The truth is, beating.vegas is bad for the forum. Here is why:

Newbies, lurkers, people that dont register, the guy with 20 posts, and even the guy who has 10,000 posts but is clueless, the degenerates, the guys looking to make a big score gambling will see a thread title of Game of the Year and regardless if they know beating.vegas or not, they will bet a large amount on this play as most people gambling are looking for the big hit...to get rich quick.

beating.vegas will send a lot of people home with their tails between their legs and wallets empty because people will overload on his bi-daily GOY's thinking that this is the play he has been waiting for all year. Might as well give it a stab. But it's not. It's a once a day thing, twice a day thing.

Personally, if this was my website, I wouldnt tolerate it. People like him decrease participation in this site, because once you are out of money, you are done. Straying from units, and doing Game of the Years twice a day will kill your bankroll.

Luckily its not my website and I dont need to worry about things like this.

I agree that shit is bad for the forum and will probably turn off alot of newbies. He has to be the most unsophisticated person in the history of therx.
