Alright guys, I've got a bit of a dilemma that I wasn't worried about until last night. I recently moved and haven't needed to find a job because I've been having a decent streak gambling and my roommate's loaded, haha. But anyways, my girlfriend (who's in Alaska until August) is starting to get on my case about getting a job because she thinks it's irresponsible of me and that gambling will turn into a problem for me and I'll end up losing everything. I give her the benefit of the doubt because there are so many stories about people doing this, and of course my luck can turn at any time. I typically have an addictive personality, but I've already cashed out my initial bankroll to my books, and now I'm working only with profit. I seem to be putting in a ton of work capping games and keeping up with the things I need to do to make my plays, but I'm starting to feel guilty about not having a job. Should I land a bullshit part-timer to appease the lady and sacrifice some capping time, or keep things the way they are. For the record I'm here for a few months at best, and will be headed back home by August at the latest to actually start working toward a career. I know this is a ridiculous thread, but I figured I'd get some input from the fine community here at theRx.

If you have time, go and read his college football thread. Its just as long but you will see that he doesn't lose and there is some great info in there too. We kicked ass in football too.
Gambling for a living is much like working a commision/sales job, but with larger risks. Ive tried both it several times like many others here im sure, but its not worth it - the stress,anxiety,unreliabity outweigh the benefits.
Always,always make sure you have a steady reliable income. Heck, if you look hard enough you can find a job where you can cap at work, on company time , and still draw a check.

Oh and as far as the girlfriend situation is concerned. Women long for stability, its in thier nature. Hard as hell to find a woman worth having that will tolerate your sole income coming from something thats frowned upon by society. They got mothers,sisters,cousins in their ear preaching about starting a home,family,etc. Dunno if you two are that serious, but your tone sounded like it.
