Virginia's offenses are known for being tense in the first round of NCAA Tournament games. This year's Cavalier offense already struggles to shoot. The Hoos' offense will also have to overcome the early start time. But their defense will show up against a Furman offense that hasn't seen anything like their pack-line. The Hoos of previous years struggled against the small-ball lineups of lower-profile tournament teams, but this year's group is used to employing smaller lineups. Virginia will also use both its mover-blocker offense and defense to slow the game down, which is important because Furman's normally fast tempo contributes to the high over/under.
