They have everything to do with each other.

Either it's acceptable for everyone or not acceptable for anyone. Don't you get it? Why does that not make sense?

That's my entire point. Is that word only considered offensive when certain people say it? Why, that'd be a double standard if true...wouldn't it?

I was told by my parents at an early age that you can pick any group, race, ethnicity, etc...and in each one, you'll find some genuinely good people and others who are assholes not worth your time. I put every individual on the same equal footing and judge them no differently, until they give me a reason to think otherwise. That's what this country was founded on...individualism, not selected protected classes or tribalist principles.
