Not sure about Take out type, but christine lees at Gulfstream is one of the best I ever had. Place has been like that for years.

I spent some time on the West Coast. Also some time in Miami.....couldn't find a decent place. Nobody I talked to knew of one either.

My mother lives down in Florida and when she comes up to visit, I always take her for Chinese because she can't find a good place

hmm, well guess you need to try a few places before you find the right one. Because I asked someone that lives in my building and he said try this place.
a couple of other people said it was good too.

Everyone has different tastes, just not the same as me.

Plenty of places to try though

I'm going to test a place that's near me in NY, which is kind of Famous on Long Island, I passed it the other night. Umberto's New Hyde Park..

Maybe the water here still sucks .... that use to be the reason they would say

Love Fla. Best thing I ever did was move here 10 years ago. Funny, everyone talks about the heat down here in the summer as if Jersey is cool that time of year? The story with Fla in the summer is the rain, not the heat.

Well I have lived down here before, and didn't care for the summers at first. Takes time to get use to.

Maybe it is just a personal taste or the parts of Florida I was in. I just know that within 15-20 minutes from my house I can get to 3-4 good Chinese restaurants.

Maybe you just happened to find a gem. Good for you though.

No not really because i knew of christine lees since the 80's when it was in the Thunderbird Hotel. I've been eating their food since then.

and if you are ever down that way, it would be my treat
