I'm connected no problem, but when I try to 'put' the file onto the server, I get an 'access is denied' error message. Thinking the file(s) could be corrupt, I've tried uploading a few files I've successfully uploaded in the past, and got the same message. (I'm using Fetch FTP for Mac.)

There are four files in the folder I'm trying to upload. Have tried them as a .sitx file, have tried to upload them separately. Same thing each time.

I have also changed the settings from passive FTP, and have tried changing from 'automatic' to 'text', 'binary' and 'macbinary', none of which works.

Is the server too busy to take the file? Could it be that simple?

This is my first assignment in a course I'm taking, due tonight. Just getting it uploaded is worth a few points. Never had trouble like this in the past. Bloody hell.

Sorry I don't have an answer. I'm only familiar with FTP through DOS.

In order to use a common AppleShare IP dropbox, the FTP client needs to have the "store unique" option available. Currently, Fetch does not support this feature. Most Unix clients will support this "store unique" option. Macintosh FTP clients may or may not support the "store unique
