ANALYSIS: The Rangers have won six in a row despite being outshot in four straight, which is a red flag. Edmonton defeated New York 4-3 in November, outshooting the Rangers 32-23. The Oilers are 6-1 in the last seven meetings, outshooting New York in six of those games. Edmonton is 39-16 in its last 55 games after allowing five or more goals and 9-1 in its past 10 contests on Fridays. New York has scored 18 goals in their last three games but now has a road game. Take the Oilers.

ANALYSIS: Edmonton is dynamic offensively and easily the most fun team to watch in the NHL, but I have to go under 7 goals on principle -- will we see a 7.5 this season? Can't remember the last time I saw that. Just for a point of reference, there were eight NHL games on Thursday and only three went over 7. New York's Igor Shesterkin is good enough to keep the Oilers in semi-check. I may come back and play this on the ML.

ANALYSIS: Siena got guards Javian McCollum and Michael Eley back from injury on Sunday and pretty easily handled Marist. Not sure this will be that easy but should be another Saints win now that they are full strength. They won at Quinnipiac 83-76 on Dec. 30 behind a combined 37 points from those two guys. The Saints control their destiny to win the MAAC regular-season title, while Quinnipiac doesn't have a shot. Siena is 7-1 in Friday night MAAC games. They average 72.1 points while shooting 81% from the free throw line and hold a +8.0 rebound margin on Fridays. Their Sunday numbers, meanwhile, are way worse. I think we can deduce why being in college. Siena is 24-3 (.889) when scoring 70 or more points the past two seasons, with two of the three losses coming in overtime. It should get to 70 here.

ot-quick question.

Does anyone know how Phil Steele/NC did with their SB props last week?

I ask because they won both side and total which is very rare for them this season and would have given them something to

shout about on Monday.

Instead they said nothing and simply stated that the 2022-2023 season was over.

That is why I am suspicious that they did not do well with the props and thus decided not to say anything on the

comp. line the next day abut winning the side and total.
