Patriots and Eagles Under 33

Two of the finest defenses in football, with a lot of depth - The depth will take them through the game.
Two offenses that have improved in the free agency market with developed vets - the vets will play the first few series and then out.
Both squads have two proven veteran QBs behind the starters, ending with klingsbury andMiller for the Pats and Hall for the Eagles.
Don't expect a lot of penalties from either squad.
They don't face each other this year.
The one question I can't answer, which is keeping me off of the side, is how well thje Eagles remember the thrashing the Pats gave them early last year?
Given the quality and depth of these two defenses, and that relatively inexperienced QBs will play all of the second half (and maybe some of the first half?), I just don't see a lot of scoring.

KC +3 (buy up) at the Giants.

Coughlin is the new guy on the Giants, with a new staff and with a lot of questions about a good team that failed miserably on both sides of the ball last year. Eli wiull
KC has an established Offense with a lot of depth and a new coach for a defense was just this side of horrible last year - so the defense will be a special focus.
Warner will see some time for the Giants, and Eli will see some - both qbs will have the first line in front of them - after that, wel it's a big ?. -I see a big fall-off in offensive production after Warner and Manning do their stints - and Warner doesn't know the recievers well and Manning is still a rookie.
Give this one to KC

Jets +3 (buy up) at NO, over 37

The Jets have a good defense with a few questions to be answered on run stopping and some depth - Their offense can be good with Pennington, but there ain't no depth at QB - so expect a focus on this tonight - with some first string help.
The Saints defense is rather porous, and I don't see much improvement on depth, so... The Saints have a good offense, but also lack experienced depth at QB - so again, a focus on QB with a little first string help.
This is indoors on a fast field - and both teams have fast field offensive strength - so I expect some scoring , and a tilt to the Jets because of the lack of Depth on Saints defense.

Nice write-ups with logical reasoning.

I think the NYG are 3-pt favs because of all the hype over Manning who will probably do very little in his first try at game speed.

KC's offense and QBs are pretty darn good.

I just think this should be a Pick'em game and will take the points as good value.

I also like NE and the Under. NE has won a zillion games in a row. NE is 10-2 straight up the last three preseasons and 9-2-1 ATS. Rohan Davey is a very experienced preseason QB (3rd yr in Patriot system). Phila is going with a rookie QB the entire 2nd half. NE returns most members of its deep, #1 defense from last year.

Thanks Olddog.

I agree OK - Davey is a secret that will soon be learned about.

A Middle? - I just took the Saints +1 for 2/3s of a unit at Bowmans - So I have the Saints +1 and the Jets +3 - now that is rare!
