$35.00 Guaranteed: The one and only granddaddy of them all is finally here. Last year during the bowl's Teddy cashed his 25* CFB Bowl GOY on the Michigan Wolverines as they won outright over the Florida Gators. Prior to that he cashed his 25* CFB GOY on the Kentucky Wildcats as they won outright over the Louisville Cardinals. This is both his Bowl GOY and his CFB GOY, he is a lifetime 7-0 (100%) with 25* selections! 1/2/2009
My 25* College Football Game of the Year is the Mississippi Rebels plus the points over the Texas Tech Red Raiders. A terrific afternoon matchup here pits the 8-4 SU, 8-3 ATS Rebels against the 11-1 SU, 5-4-1 ATS Red Raiders. The Rebels season obviously was defined by their huge road win at Florida as they handed the Gators their only loss of the season 31-30 as 23 point underdogs. They followed that game with letdown against South Carolina and then a tough hard fought battle at Alabama. After which they ended their season with 5 straight wins and covers. This is a very underrated and talented team both offensively and defensively and they are led by a head coach that loves to spring the upset and loves being the underdog. Starting quarterback Jevan Snead is a very talented Texas kid who had a good year but really picked it up down the stretch of the season. In his last 5 games all wins he had 13 TD’s to just 2 INT’s. Mike Wallace became his TD man/deep threat catching 5 TD’s in their last 3 games. These guys will love facing off against a Texas Tech defense that frankly isn’t very good and does not play well outside of their friendly confines in Lubbock. Tech finished 91st in the nation against the pass and 72nd in the nation in total yards allowed. The big emphasis in this game will be Ole Miss Defense and their ability to get pressure on Harrell. The Rebels are very good at getting pressure on the quarterback and I love the way they matchup on the defensive line against Texas Tech’s O-line. I think they will be able to force Harrell into quicker decisions and close his pocket. Harrell isn’t overly mobile and does not like to move outside of the pocket a great deal. The Rebels will force him into mistakes and will get pressure on him like no other team has this year, this is a defense that was red hot down the stretch of the year, has a month to prepare and has faced tough SEC schools all year long. The other key in this game will be the Rebels rushing and passing attack versus the one dimensional Red Raiders. Ole Miss will control the clock with their hot running attack and Tech will find out early in this one that their offensive rhythm is going to be thrown off significantly. I currently have this line at +4.5. My 25* College Football Game of the Year is the Mississippi Rebels plus the points. As always, Good Luck, Let’s make some money.
