heheheheee...

Update: Sorry folks. Looks like the promo's over. Guess Domino's ran out of "bailout" money.

Update #2: Spoke to a Domino's rep, who told me the free-pizza code was created internally for a promotion that was never actually green-lit. A customer happened to enter the code (Domino's has been heavily advertising their "bailout" promotion), told the world, and here we are. Apparently the company honored nearly 11,000 of the coupons before pulling the plug. Stay tuned: The Cheapskate is trying to arrange a consolation prize!

Well I usually just buy my kids Little Ceasars hot-n-ready by $5.99 each. Not bad for a large pizza. It used to be $5 each about 8 months ago.

But I will try and pick up my free pizza at 5:30 today

Update #3: EXCLUSIVE FOR CHEAPSKATE READERS: Enter code SWEET with any online order to get a free order of Cinnastix! This is a one-time-per-account offer, good for carryout or delivery. (Each store has a minimum-order requirement if you choose delivery.) Bigtime kudos to Domino's for extending this "cinnamon branch" after what appears to have been an honest mistake.

I did get the free pizza last night, but when I arrived at the restaurant at the specified time, my pizza was no where to be seen. She couldnt find the order at all, but when I said that it was already paid for, she found it and they made the pizza within 5 minutes. But it was just a medium pepperoni

CINCINNATI – The Domino's pizza chain has given away nearly 11,000 free pizzas because of a never-used promotion that a Web customer stumbled upon. Tim McIntyre, spokesman for Ann Arbor, Mich.-based Domino's, said Wednesday that the company had prepared an Internet coupon for an ad campaign that was considered in December but never activated.

McIntyre said somebody discovered that the code word "bailout" was good for a free medium pizza ordered online. The information quickly spread Monday night on the Web, until the code was deactivated Tuesday morning.

The owner of 14 Domino's locations in the Cincinnati area says his stores gave away more than 600 pies. Owner John Glass told The Cincinnati Enquirer that Domino's promised to reimburse him for the pizzas.
