A pair of left-handers will try to improve on their mediocre starts when they take the mound in the second of a four-game MLB Picks series at Yankee Stadium. New York starter C.C. Sabathia has 13 career wins against Minnesota, but the Twins may have finally found their offense. After scoring only 28 runs in the first nine games, they erupted for seven on Monday. Minnesota may need to produce another big number; the Twins have allowed 17 runs in Francisco Liriano’s two starts this season.
New York shortstop Derek Jeter is off to a great start. He went 2-for-4 on Monday and improved his average to .378. He was the only player in the starting lineup of the first game to have an average over .269.
TV: 7:05 p.m. FSNO (Minnesota), YES (New York)
