This is simply crazy. He was on the phone with Chris Russo on Sirius at around 3:30pm yesterday. Spoke at length about the immaculate reception. He sounded like he did have a mild cold but he was pretty sharp overall. 12 hours later he was dead. If you heard him on the phone it didn't sound like he was talking from a hospital bed. He certainly didn't sound like someone a few hours away from death. Was it a heart attack, a stroke. Won't know until they announce the cause. He was going to have his jersey retired this weekend at Pittsburgh at a game he was going to be at. Really bizarre.

Yea, totally weird how they would bring up the 50th anniversary of the catch out of the blue.
Naw. It's a big deal. One of the most iconic plays in NFL history involving two of the most beloved players.

Think I read that Pitt was gonna have a halftime celebration of the anniversary this week. Franco and Terry were gonna be there.

RIP Franco

I have one of these and have looked for an example for sale many times over the years....first time i have seen an active listing

I had to call the hell out of 7-11's around town and talked one store into letting me have this display when they were done with the promotion...I was a wheeling dealing baseball card collector/dealer in my teens
