Insult to do the average worker. Bring Trump into Negotiations!

Trade Unions are Democrats. Calling Biden and his Electric Cars or George Jetson maybe Spacley Sprockets can come to the rescue.

The strikers have some legitimate gripes....Im directly affected by the Jeep layoffs....Jeep has hundreds of temp workers (they call them SE's) that have been temps for 6 & 7 years at $17 per hour or roughly the same as a McDonalds worker nowadays...That would be my biggest gripe 2 workers in the same assembly plant doing the same exact job making vastly different pay rates & benefits....Thats Bullshit..

Let them strike, no one gives AF...they will cross the picket lines when there is no food on the table.

Anyone heard how the Hollywood actors guild strike is going? No? Didn't think so...

Propose a contract to cut their wages, pensions, and ADD hours to their expected work weeks.

Unless you actually saw the amount of work they do in an 8 hour shift.

The most ridiculous, inefficient labor franchise in the history of labor....exactly why they vote Democrat.

That s an issue temps need to take up with agency. UAW and their wage demands has forced Ford and others to hire outside companies. $33 is average hourly rate? With benefits?

In the past I was manager in a place that had a two-tier wage system. Top senority heavy union agreed to it and received 5 extra years credit on retirements and many left. Worse thing that could ever happen. Demoralized the work force, pitted employees against each other, and we couldn't keep good people. About 8 years of that shit and it was thrown out, back to everybody on the same plane.

Tiers sounds like ranking, longer been there more pay and benefits with each step (tier)? Never heard of working 32 hours getting paid for 40? imagine 32 is considered Full time with benefits. Maybe they can work 31 hours and get paid for 39 and pay for their own health ins and no paid holidays... Just saying... Exactly Vegas .... in-house BS. Nobdy on different level too many Chiefs not enough indians......

Some details of where/how money is used now. They whoever say they can't afford? Oh well

Here's how General Motors' CEO Mary Barra justifies her $29 million salary

  • Auto workers are striking for a 40% pay increase from General Motors, Ford, and Stellantis.
  • General Motors CEO Mary Barra is so far offering auto workers a 20% pay increase.
  • Barra is making about $29 million this year and has received a 34% increase over the last four.

In a CNN interview, Barra defended her high earnings. She said 92% of her salary is based on the company's performance, and that the company offers profit sharing to its employees. So, her logic went, the better the company performs the more money everyone makes.

"When the company does well, everyone does well," Barra said.

Especially her, apparently.

I doubt they're going to get a 32 hr work week but I think the tiers have to go....Remains to be seen I guess...

Lawmakers in both the House and Senate are set to return to Capitol Hill on Monday afternoon, with less than two weeks to hash out some sort of deal to fund the government past Sept. 30.

Let them both shutdown

What’s up UAW? Mary Barra welcomes ya all to America! US gave Billions to keep war with Russia playing out. Rand Paul talks about what DJT would‘ve been doing so I think instead of borrowing from China to give to whoever the US should buy Ford and replace all UAW workers with those on Welfare and Social Security

Why so needy? On the flip side…

About 85% of current represented employees would earn a base wage of approximately $82,000 a year. In contrast, the average median household income in nine areas where GM has major assembly plants is $51,821. And total compensation for the 85% of the workforce, with overtime and benefits, would be more than $150,000 a year,"

Why so special to seperate themselves from the average Joe or Mary?
