I'm reposting my article regarding outsourcing. You seemed to have hijacked the thread and turned it into yet another tired article concerning the evil Christian right. Is there a reasonable explaination for this?

Lothians firm fits bill for Clinton's archives

CHRIS MOONEY
A SMALL Lothians cabinet-making firm is set to crack the United States after winning a £500,000 contract to fit out Bill Clinton’s presidential library.

Netherfield Visuals has been awarded the contract to build 85 glass museum showcases to display the archive of the former president’s two terms in the White House in a purpose-built centre in Little Rock, Arkansas.

The William J Clinton Centre will include a museum, educational research facilities and library which will house the largest collection in US presidential history.

Netherfield, which started in a back garden using an old shipping container as a workshop, is hopeful its association with the prestigious contract will allow it to fill a niche in the US.

The company, which is based in Dalkeith, Midlothian, is even having to leave its home of 12 years to move to bigger premises in Livingston, West Lothian, to cope with demand which is now expected to net the firm work worth millions of dollars.

The workforce will swell from 26 to more than 40 following the move in the spring.

Mike Chaplin, whose father Raymond started the business, said securing the deal was beyond his imagination.

He said: "This whole project is fantastically exciting for us. When we were awarded the contract I don’t think we were really aware just how prestigious it was, but we certainly know now.

"We couldn’t buy that kind of publicity and the company we have been working with in America has already asked us if we think we can cope with other orders they expect to come in. We are having to move to Livingston to expand and we’ve told them we can handle anything."

Prime Minister Tony Blair and Nelson Mandela are on the international guest list of VIPs expected to attend the official opening of the library in November.

Shotgun, I just wanted to add an additional article written by Cris Mooney, nothing more. Is there something about Mr. Mooney's church and state article that bothers you? I notice you had no problem posting his views on outsourcing. Bio:

Chris Mooney is a freelance writer living in Washington, D.C. His recent articles have included a MotherJones.com article on the growing controversy surrounding the pro-gun scholar John Lott and a Boston Globe ideas section cover story on the quest to revive Congress's Office of Technology Assessment. He is writing a book about the crisis of science politicization in American life.

Chris was born in Mesa, Arizona, and grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana; he graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in English in 1999. Before becoming a freelancer, Chris worked for two years at The American Prospect as a writing fellow, then staff writer, then online editor (where he helped to create the popular blog Tapped).

Chris has contributed to a variety of other publications in recent years, including Slate, Salon, Mother Jones, Legal Affairs, Reason, The American Scholar, The Washington Monthly, The Utne Reader, The Washington Post, The Washington City Paper, and The Boston Globe.
Besides contributing to magazines and newspapers, every month Chris writes an online column for Skeptical Inquirer magazine, where he serves as a contributing editor. Chris is also a senior correspondent for the American Prospect magazine.

Wil, I don't see any of Mooney's opinion on outsourcing in the article I posted. It was a well-written article on the positive effects of outsourcing, something the left rarely acknowledges. Your attempt to turn it into a church-state debate is sad, and shows how myopic your world viewpoint really is.

I see I'm myopic, you introduce a writer to this forum but his other work is off limits in the very thread where _YOU_ posted a piece by him. How about you did not perform due diligence, and cut and posted some obscure piece from an even more obscure source (Scotsman.com) that turned out to be written by someone whose political ideology is very different from your own. Now you object when someone else cuts and pastes other well written articles about US politics. Who really is the myopic one here?

You argue like my 7 year old Wil. I guess I should just be relieved you haven't spouted off any more of your famous 'war' stories.

Shotgun, and your intelligent response is to namecall instead of making any kind of viable argument. I've gone from sad, and myopic to your 7 year old. Who can argue with such logic.
