CFL Record to date:

parlay/teaser : 1-0 (+2.0 units)

6 pt teaser played last night:
Edmonton -5.5
Montreal -4
Toronto +3
Saskatchewan +2.5

also have a small 1 unit play just put in on Edmonton -12 as Tee Martin will be making his CFL debut for Winnipeg tonight against one of the better D's in the league,, Edmonton should manhandle the Winnipeg BlueBombers here..

Edmonton scores a late TD to beat the spread for me rather then a push at -12,, I will take it.. Great game by Ricky Ray ...28/41 for 469 yards and 2 TD's... Beats sitting on the Jets sideline carrying a clipboard again all year..

CFL straight wagers now 2-0 for the year (+2.0 units)
CFL parlays and teasers 1-0 (+2.0 units) with another 4 game teaser pending..

CFL play for Friday July 1.. a little Canada Day Winner (hopefully)

Toronto -3 (-110) - The Grey Cup Champion Argos got off to a slow start there first game of the year and found themselves trailing 18-1 at half,, they woke up in the second half and almost tied it in the dieing seconds before QB Damon Allen fumbled the ball away.. That 2nd half Argo team looked like the one that won the Grey Cup last year and their dominating Defence really shut down Dickenson and the potent BC offence.. Calgary was an absolute disaster last season from top to bottom,, even their waterboys should be fired. They made some nice moves this offseason picking up a great QB in Henry Burress from my Saskatchewan Roughriders, they also got one of the top WR's in the league,, Jermaine Copeland from Montreal. They do have some talent, but it may take them a few games to all get on the same page as they still have not played a game this year after receiving a bye in week 1. Toronto has already played 1 game to work the kinks out and have a much better defence then the Calgary Stampeders,, also are led by a great veteran QB in Damon Allen (brother of former NFLer Marcus Allen) I will side with them at -3 for 1 unit

yeah,, close call but we'll take it,, especially after that brutal Montreal collapse in the earlier game ruined my teaser..

CFL pick
CFL straight wagers: 3-0 (+3 units)
Parlays and teasers: 1-1

Saskatchewan -2.5 -110 1 unit
The Green Riders are a very solid team,, great defence,, 2 very good RB's and a very solid receiving corps,, their only big question this year was the QB position after losing QB Henry Burris to Calgary.. Could Nealon Greene fill the big shoes Burris left after taking his club to a missed chipshot field goal away from the Grey Cup game..?? So far Greene looks solid,, he was pegged to be the #1 last year but broke his leg in the first game of the year and it was all Burress from there.. Hamilton is a decent club as well with a solid D,, but their offence led by old man Danny McManus just doesn't rate up to par with the Riders.. I look for Saskatchewan to pull out a close Road win here by a TD or so..

a terrible terrible beat as I lose by the hook in game Hamilton had no business being in...Saskatchewan up 23-8 and give up 2 TD's in the final 2 minutes to win 23-21 and win by 2,, I had them at -2.5... Saskatchewan dominated the
entire game ,, and missed 3 FG's within 30 yards... Hamilton gets
their 3 TD's off an interception return that bounced off the
receiver's hands into the cornerback's hands who takes it all the way
back, their second TD looked to be a Saskatchewan InT in the endzone,
but the Rider D'back mishandled the ball and was caught by Hamilton
player for a TD... With 1 minute left Saskatchewan gets stopped on
the Hamilton 2 yard line,, so Hamilton takes over on downs,,,
Saskatchewan takes 2 roughing the passer penalities and 2 pass
interference penalties to hand Hamilton one very late TD which turned
out to be meaningless.... what a terrible way to lose my first CFL
game of the year,, had the right team by a country mile but the stars
just weren't aligned for this one,, bad beat...

At least you didn't have MON last night as I did. BACK TO BACK HORRIBLE BEATS. I'm starting to learn to TEASE ROAD FAVORITES. They lose focus late. MON, TOR, and SAS got way up and then got scored on big time. TOR almost lost the cover and the game. Only EDM finished strong, and that's against a piss poor Loseipeg team.

Scott,, it gets even worse.. I had a 4 game 6 pt teaser with:

Edmonton -3.5
Montreal -4
Sask +3
Toronto -3

so yes,, not only did I lose the heartbreaker cover by a half pt today thanks to the late Rider collapse,,, I lost my Teaser with Montreal's huge collapse yesterday,, long season ahead of us,, but man I'm pissed off right now..

I am going to be VERY WARY of road favorites for a while. Even in their wins, TOR and EDM looked pretty bad for a good part of their games.

Scott, be careful teasing road favs as well. I got screwed big-time on Montreal teased to -3 yesterday. Then of course I have Sask -3 today and get screwed even worse. That Sask noncover is almost comical its so ridiculous! Maybe moneylines are the way to go.
