without knowing the specifics, a good general rule is to vote NO
on all state amendments or propositions. this at least keeps the
status quo but avoids the scenario of bad unintended consequences
or benefiting special interest groups that are trying to game the
system. if one votes YES on any of these, one should be SURE that
it benefits the target sector/group, or that it actually addresses some
sort of social, economic, or legal issue. this can be difficult to
figure out due to misinformation and deceptive ads. good luck.

This amendment is sponsored by the Seminole injuns and Disney and will prevent the government from expanding any gambling without voter approval. Sure the injuns want to keep an much of the gambling as they can in their own hands. I am emphatically voting no.

Who Cares we are all felons and can’t vote. This is the most confusing vote I’ve ever come across. I’ve listened to both sides and I can’t tell. Someone please help us figure this out.

Actually you are talking about amendment 4 which will restore voting rights to felons. I personally am voting no as I prefer the present system which requires gubernatorial approval on a case by case basis. On amendment three, I am tired of the indians trying to keep control of gambling. They have no casino control commission and in my opinion dont offer a fair game. They do many things that are very dishonest. For example, when you cash a video poker or slots tickets, the machines dont dispense change. You get a voucher that either you put back in the machine or you have to go to the cage to cash. They probably make millions a year by doing this because most people won't go to the cage for a few quarters. I can tell you that I keep my gambling change in a jar and at the end of the year it is usually about $200 to $250. I have never seen any other casino do this garbage.

i just did a quick read on this amendment. it is really a complicated
issue regarding casino gambling expansion in florida. there is info
that says it would be helpful to expand casino gambling and other
info that it would hinder it. there is info that says approving it
would cost municipalities a lot of tax revenue and vice versa.
in these cases it's good to look at where the financial support
is coming from. the yes is supported heavily by Disney and
the Seminole Indians. the no is supported by flagler ( magic
city casino), hallendale casino, tampa bay bucs, and draft kings.
i'm sure that means something.

Both of these .... It's a Fuking joke how the Seminoles control all of this crap.
They signed a contract that ran out like a year ago or so, which should have allowed places like gulfstream and dania beach to get full table games

Do you know how much money Stronach has pumped into Gulfstream ?? the Jobs he made available to 1000's
but he can't put table games into his casino.

not sure how Disney got involved or mixed up in all this. They worried that casinos will pop up outside their Parks ??

Vote against it. (No)

Seminole Casino & Disney trying to fool everyone.

If you visit Florida, go to Universal Studios.

It's much better than Disney & at the same time you dont support Disney's quest to control everything.

Hache, does this mean Florida won't be getting sports betting anytime soon?

Probably won't even see sports betting now.

Currently politicians can expand gambling.

Walt Disney World & Seminole Casinos don't want expansion, for their own personal reasons (or greed).

Thats why they steered ppl the wrong way in voting yes, which turns the power over to voters now.

They knew that would make expansion even more difficult since 60% of voters would have to approve it.

So the amendment not passing would have left it in politicians hands and they would have likely pursued expansion of gambling/sports betting like other states are doing.

This is why the Miami Dolphins And Tampa Bay Bucs urged voters to vote No, as they now have an interest in sports betting & revenue from it.

That's also why you might see the other thread I posted about the Jacksonville Jaguars possibly moving in the future.

It was a Trojan horse. The Tampa property is a gold mine.

they get anything voted in the state there even if locals don’t want it.
They are the Orlando casino as well and Orlando will never for for casinos.
