Ahhh i missed football season. Its good to be back! I hope to make this my most profitable year so far. I have been betting regularly for the past 3 years and have gained great experience year after year. I am optimistic about this year and will be regularly giving my picks. Hopefully we can get a good friendly discussion going.
My msn email address is: brasileiroguy@hotmail.com if you'd like to get into my personal touch. GOOD LUCK

First of all a nice favorite to kick off the season:
1) CHELSEA to beat Zilina at 1.57 odds (Bet365) (1 unit)
Chelsea are a totally different team this year. They have spent about 75 million pounds and have a cool new owner. Chelsea should play most of their starting 11 players (except Petit, Gallas and Babayo) including new signings including Veron and Joe Cole. All that money will be badly spent if they do not make the Champions League so this win is crucial. Zilina is a mediocre team at best and I believe Chelsea will be too much even if the team hasn't gelled yet.

Good shout - see my comments on Main Premiership Thread.

The premiership is a completely different deck of cards than the CL for English clubs.

I reckon Chelsea will struggle until Christmas when they gel together a bit more.

Also, Ranieri will be building his side around Veron - who is being forced to play on the right hand side. When at United, Veron played in the centre of midfield and lovesd to be in the engine room. The likelyhood is that he will drift from his right hand side position into the middle without realising.

The problem for Chelsea here is that Liverpool will have new signing Harry Kewell pelting up the wings. If Veron drifts (as most think he will), they are going to be massively exposed and could let in a few goals.

Could be worth backing Liverpool - even with a 1 goal handicap.
