Firewall protection

Just noticed that the protection i've had for the past year does not have the firewall installed. Isn't that necessary in this day and age? It has everything else installed but this was left off for some reason. Had the geeks at Best Buy put it on.:monsters-

I use Norton-but it can be a resource hog & is somewhat prone to "flaking out" every once in a rare while(requiring you to reboot).

You do not need it. You have Windows firewall that protects you just fine. The third party firewall is something that very few people need and they nkow why they need it. For everyone else it is just a waste of time.

Have the firewall resouces if i need to install. The geeks left it off for some reason, but installed everything else. I guess i will leave it alone.
