yesterday was a neck away from glory. let's go back at 'em today. unfortunately, my two best bets, wildly excessive and alchema were both scratch. no matter, here's the reduced plays.
r2: political rhetoric. sharpter is clearly the horse to beat and got a break when stretch out speedster wildly excessive scratched earlier, so i'm backing 'rhetoric, who has a great knack of stalking and pouncing, which is the winning profile for this distance. at anything north of 3/1, he's my play.
r3: bruceton. looks like a total standout in here as symbolic times has had too many chances for my blood. i'd pair him up with slews pot of gold who has very good drills for the excellent layoff conditioner, vladimir cerin.
r5: silver hawk lady. i was going to violate my cardinal rule of not backing first timers routing on dirt with alchema who, when she does appear again, will show you all what i was rambling about, but c'est la vie; let's play the hand dealt to us and back silver hawk lady, who will be a better price than lovely rafaela and vencedora amiga. 'amiga is the one who scares me the most as she exits a very live race and was bucking the bias all the way. 'lady on the other hand has had four sprint prepts, but one was in a stakes and now she gets to do what she wants, rout. the jock change is a real downgrade, but that means our price will go up up up.
r7: trial by jury. looks like a standout to me in here as the others have a knack for losing and this one has strung together two very strong races of late. should be able to make his own trip with that good turn of early foot, stalking trompolino. 3/1 would be a gift.
