I really don't care what Ridge has to say, but I think you have to be completely naive to believe those terror alert changes weren't politically motivated. What's really fucking mind boggling is that people were conned into thinking an administration that played ole defense (pronounced "olay") when a terrorist attack tool place, were the right ones to be in charge to prevent another one.

It was analogous to the mob shaking down a business for "protection" money.

I'm sure if the conspiracy types wanted to they could look at all the dates that the Terror Alert Level changed and read the news from that date. You could likely find at least a couple stories the Government wanted to knock off of the front page.
