The "Mormon Mauler" Mitt Romney takes on Evander Holyfield in a boxing card on May 15th in Salt Lake City, Utah. Romney indicated that after he beats Holyfield that he wants a piece of Mike Tyson. :):)

On May 15th in Salt Lake City, former world heavyweight boxing champion Evander Holyfield will once again lace up the gloves and step into the squared circle. His opponent: former Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Apparently, in an effort to raise money for Charity Vision, an organization that provides medical supplies to poor regions around the world, Holyfield and Romney will face off at the Rail Event Center in Utah’s state capital.
Josh Rolly of the Salt Lake City Tribune wrote that the event will be a black tie affair and attendance will be contingent on sponsors donating anywhere between $25,000 to $250,000. Presumably, the higher the donation, the more guests the sponsor can bring to the event. The Romney-Holyfield ’bout’ will likely be the main event of the evening. Per the 2012 runner-up to the White House, he “thought it would be a lot better to provide this kind of entertainment rather than just have dinner and listen to speakers.” Josh Romney, Mitt’s son, also pointed out that there will be other fights at the fundraiser, including many between professional fighters.

Tale of the Tape

As for a tale of the tape, this will be the 68-year-old Romney’s first ever pro bout. He stands 6’2″, which is at least an inch taller than Holyfield, and seems to be in excellent shape for his age. However, Holyfield is 16 years younger and has the advantage of being four-time world heavyweight champion and defeated the likes of Larry Holmes, Ray Mercer, George Foreman and Mike Tyson in his career. On the other hand, the possibility of a Romney buyout and dive is always present.
