I think I heard that in conjunction with the new rankings after the WC, the ranking system changed a bit too. I'll try to look more into it after work.

They changed the ranking system. That is why you have the drastic moves in this current ranking. Other than Germany being behind Portugal, I don't have any problem w/ this ranking. 11-20 is a joke though.

Not if you look at the next 10. Don't forget all the injuries they had in the world cup, they had no fit strikers against Italy and Smicer missed the entire tournament.
