Friday, February 6 is both the official World Nude day and National Wear Red Day, also known as Go Red for Women Day.
The latter promotes heart disease and stroke awareness for women – the former is a holiday invented in New Zealand that's all about setting your spirit (and your body) free.
"It's about nude, not lewd. It's about having fun ... with your clothes off," according to a Web site devoted to World Nude Day.
It's also about documenting that process on film. The best nude video wins $10,000.
The instructions for World Nude Day are posted online and include the following steps for success:
1. Get nude
2. Get a mate to film you
3. Do something funny
4. Upload it for all to see.
But if you'd rather keep your clothes on today – wear red, and support women's health.
The symbol for support of National Wear Red Day is a red dress, though men might prefer to wear a red shirt, tie or pin.
