rounders is always a favorite

the movie isn’t great but I enjoy 2 for the money.

maverick is entertaining. Funny watching poker being played before the boom.

casino is an all time favorite

California Split with Elliot Gould and George Segal. Featured Amarillo Slim in a Reno card game. Also recreated a Los Angeles card room when players dealt their own cards. This was before Hold Em was legalized in California and card rooms were in Gardena. There was massive cheating in those games. Back then the only game allowed was 5 card draw lowball poker. I always thought it was filmed in an actual card room in Gardena but apparently it was recreated but it was very accurate. Below is the opening scene.
