Rotoworld:

According to the St. Petersburg Times, Scott Kazmir is expected to rest for two weeks after being diagnosed with a left elbow strain.

That makes it unlikely that he'll be ready for his Opening Day assignment, but more importantly the newspaper notes that an MRI revealed "no serious injury." Kazmir walked off the mound Tuesday after feeling what he called "a little discomfort" while warming up, so two weeks of rest qualifies as very good early news.

Still a month before opening day, don't see how this makes him unlikely to be ready for his start. We'll see though.

Just because of how managers treat spring training. They like to have their pitchers' on a certain schedule and I'm assuming the fact that Kazmir will miss two weeks of pitching will put him behind quite a bit and they don't want him going in there with less work than he needs. That's my guess anyway.
