[h=1]Fantasy football flex rankings for Week 8[/h]
ESPN PLUS ($ MATERIAL)
Welcome to Week 8 and the latest edition of the PPR flex rankings! Trades are happening all around us, with the final unbeaten teams picking up veteran wide receivers in exchange for draft picks, so what are you waiting for, fantasy managers? Here we jumble together the top running backs, wide receivers and tight ends into one list, but please keep an eye on the news as the week goes on, because more than a few players are injured and may or may not play. Good luck!
1. Dalvin Cook, RB, Vikings:<offer style="box-sizing: border-box;"></offer> Is second among all running backs in PPR points per game to the next guy, but one of these fellows plays Washington this week. Guess which one!
2. Christian McCaffrey, RB, Panthers: Comes off the bye week for a road game in San Francisco, but do not bet against a top performance.
3. Saquon Barkley, RB, Giants: He did not look 100 percent in his return from injury, but he still had 80 yards and a touchdown. We will take it.
4. Leonard Fournette, RB, Jaguars: The main difference between Fournette and Cook is the touchdowns. In total yards, it is similar. Fournette is having a fantastic season.
5. Alvin Kamara, RB, Saints: An injured ankle and knee has him questionable to perform, but this is the ranking if he can suit up. Great player.
6. Michael Thomas, WR, Saints: Probably does not matter much to him who his quarterback is. The panic from Thomas investors was clearly misguided.
7. DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Texans
8. James Conner, RB, Steelers
9. Chris Carson, RB, Seahawks
10. Julio Jones, WR, Falcons: Matt Ryan could cede starting duties to Matt Schaub, but as with the Saints' Thomas, it might not matter for Jones' numbers.
11. Chris Godwin, WR, Buccaneers: Imagine what he could do with a top quarterback who avoids turnovers.
12. Le'Veon Bell, RB, Jets: Jets did not score Monday night, but Bell rushed for a season-best 70 yards. I still believe the best is yet to come, for him and his QB. Be patient. The schedule gets easier after Week 8.
13. Aaron Jones, RB, Packers
14. David Johnson, RB, Cardinals: Sore ankle could still be a problem, but do not panic when it comes to a potential timeshare. When Johnson is healthy, he is the top option.
15. Davante Adams, WR, Packers: You might not think turf toe is a big problem, but it is. Adams remains questionable and probably will be hindered the rest of the season.
16. Tyreek Hill, WR, Chiefs: As long as he continues to get open, Hill should be fine. Matt Moore can still find him.
17. Mike Evans, WR, Buccaneers
18. Cooper Kupp, WR, Rams
19. Todd Gurley II, RB, Rams: No, this is not going to improve in the final two months, but at least we always have hope of a touchdown or two.
20. Derrick Henry, RB, Titans: It is Tampa Bay week! Even Ryan Tannehill should do nice statistical work!
21. Nick Chubb, RB, Browns
22. Julian Edelman, WR, Patriots: Could be on his way to 100 receptions, which he last reached in 2013. You know what you get with Edelman.
23. Darren Waller, TE, Raiders: Emerging superstar is the No. 1 receiver in this offense, easily. Easy to argue he is fantasy's top tight end, too.
24. Kenny Golladay, WR, Lions
25. Tyler Lockett, WR, Seahawks
26. Stefon Diggs, WR, Vikings: Absence of Adam Thielen should aid Diggs. Be careful in trusting Diggs and Kirk Cousins in tougher matchups, though.
27. Tevin Coleman, RB, 49ers
28. Devonta Freeman, RB, Falcons: Rough performance in Week 7, statistically and against Aaron Donald.
29. Josh Jacobs, RB, Raiders: Volume. Volume. Volume. No end in sight.
30. Austin Ekeler, RB, Chargers: I feel guilty that I did not leave him ranked as the team's top running back the past few weeks. His pass-catching work is fantastic, and nobody runs the ball here.
31. Keenan Allen, WR, Chargers
32. Odell Beckham Jr., WR, Browns: I am guessing Bill Belichick has a plan to handle Baker Mayfield and his targets, but all it takes is one big play.
33. Marlon Mack, RB, Colts
34. Phillip Lindsay, RB, Broncos
35. JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, Steelers: Not a top-10 WR anymore, but there sure are some tasty matchups the rest of the way.
36. T.Y. Hilton, WR, Colts
37. Carlos Hyde, RB, Texans
38. Austin Hooper, TE, Falcons: Trash-time touchdowns count, too. No reason to run from him even if Matt Ryan sits.
39. George Kittle, TE, 49ers: He is No. 7 among tight ends in PPR points per game, but a pair of November matchups with the Cardinals should fix things.
40. James White, RB, Patriots
41. Sony Michel, RB, Patriots
42. Courtland Sutton, WR, Broncos: Was the No. 1 Denver WR entering the week, and that remains so. Nice breakout season and, even with a tough Week 8 matchup, should do fine.
43. Travis Kelce, TE, Chiefs: What rule is there that says he must be the No. 1-ranked tight end every week? Stuff changed.
44. Tyler Boyd, WR, Bengals
45. John Brown, WR, Bills: Underrated veteran is getting his yards every week, and now faces a Philly defense that is stopping nobody.
46. DJ Chark Jr., WR, Jaguars: Expected more against the Bengals in Week 7, but should bounce back against the Jets.
47. Ty Johnson, RB, Lions: Kerryon Johnson (knee) was placed on injured reserve, so Ty Johnson gets his chance. He catches passes.
48. Joe Mixon, RB, Bengals: Eighteen carries for 12 rushing yards the past two games. Blame other Bengals. So why rank Mixon this well? Well, there is risk, but he should overcome this.
49. Calvin Ridley, WR, Falcons
50. Allen Robinson II, WR, Bears
51. DJ Moore, WR, Panthers
52. Melvin Gordon, RB, Chargers: I would not cut him, but I cannot make a great case for him in starting lineups, either.
53. Royce Freeman, RB, Broncos
54. Tarik Cohen, RB, Bears: Might not make it to 100 rushing yards this season, which is hard to do, but 100 targets is possible.
55. Brandin Cooks, WR, Rams: As with Chargers' Gordon, this is a tough one. Cannot make good argument to activate him, but I do not want to watch him excel after I dump him or the next guy on this list.
56. Robert Woods, WR, Rams
57. Dede Westbrook, WR, Jaguars
58. LeSean McCoy, RB, Chiefs: Perhaps the Chiefs lean more heavily on the running game this week. McCoy would be the clear beneficiary.
59. Matt Breida, RB, 49ers
60. Evan Engram, TE, Giants
61. Duke Johnson, RB, Texans
62. Frank Gore, RB, Bills
63. Marvin Jones Jr., WR, Lions: Might not score another four touchdowns the rest of the season, so try not to force him into lineups.
64. Tyrell Williams, WR, Raiders
65. Terry McLaurin, WR, Redskins: Will be interesting to see whether he can overcome matchups this and next week, because he could not in Week 7.
66. David Montgomery, RB, Bears: One of these weeks the Bears will give him the touches. We think.
67. Damien Williams, RB, Chiefs: Just throw him, like, six screen passes per game and let us see how it goes.
68. Jamaal Williams, RB, Packers: Receiving touchdowns the past two games, and no indication they were flukes.
69. Chase Edmonds, RB, Cardinals: Move him up into the top 20 if David Johnson sits this one out. Based on how the coaches decided to handle things in Week 7, though, it seems unlikely.
70. Larry Fitzgerald, WR, Cardinals
71. Mohamed Sanu, WR, Patriots: Looks like a WR3 to me on his new team right away. Sanu was already having a decent season.
72. Corey Davis, WR, Titans: Perhaps what he really needed was Ryan Tannehill. Or less Marcus Mariota.
73. Hunter Henry, TE, Chargers
74. Zach Ertz, TE, Eagles: Fantastic player, but this entire offense is a mess. Do not play Ertz blindly over better tight ends if they are available.
75. Sterling Shepard, WR, Giants
76. Alshon Jeffery, WR, Eagles
77. Mark Walton, RB, Dolphins: Perhaps no Dolphins running back matters in fantasy, but Walton got the Week 7 carries.
78. Latavius Murray, RB, Saints: Check those updates on Kamara because Murray could be an RB1 again.
79. Golden Tate, WR, Giants
80. Emmanuel Sanders, WR, 49ers: Smart move by the 49ers, but from a fantasy aspect, his value changes only marginally.
81. Kenny Stills, WR, Texans
82. Devin Singletary, RB, Bills: Gore is doing fine, but if the Bills decide to let this rookie get myriad chances, that is intriguing. No indication of it yet, though.
83. Jordan Howard, RB, Eagles: Tough to activate any Eagles -- including the QB -- for a game in Buffalo.
84. Miles Sanders, RB, Eagles
85. Jarvis Landry, WR, Browns
86. DK Metcalf, WR, Seahawks: Intriguing talent but still making those rookie mistakes.
87. Curtis Samuel, WR, Panthers
88. Christian Kirk, WR, Cardinals
89. Marquez Valdes-Scantling, WR, Packers
90. Jared Cook, TE, Saints: No guarantees he'll be able to play through a sore ankle, but the Cardinals are so poor against opposing tight ends that Cook is worth monitoring.
91. J.D. McKissic, RB, Lions: Averaging 7.3 yards per rush this season, so if it is McKissic and not Ty Johnson who is next in line, that would be interesting.
92. Kenyan Drake, RB, Dolphins
93. Ronald Jones II, RB, Buccaneers
94. Peyton Barber, RB, Buccaneers
95. Preston Williams, WR, Dolphins
96. DeVante Parker, WR, Dolphins
97. Mike Williams, WR, Chargers
98. Phillip Dorsett II, WR, Patriots
99. Gerald Everett, TE, Rams
100. Adrian Peterson, RB, Redskins
Others: Jamison Crowder, WR, Jets; Chris Thompson, RB, Redskins; Rex Burkhead, RB, Patriots; Robby Anderson, WR, Jets; Cole Beasley, WR, Bills; Auden Tate, WR, Bengals; Giovani Bernard, RB, Bengals; Nyheim Hines, RB, Colts; Josh Gordon, WR, Patriots; Dare Ogunbowale, RB, Buccaneers; A.J. Brown, WR, Titans; Keke Coutee, WR, Texans; Diontae Johnson, WR, Steelers
