Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes passed the Week 5 test when he beat the Jacksonville Jaguars. This week, he gets a Sunday night prime-time game in Massachusetts against Tom Brady. It should be fun, and these are my top quarterbacks of the week.
What about their weapons? How do they compare to others? That is what flex rankings are for, as we combine the best of the running backs, wide receivers and tight ends into one tidy list. Enjoy, and do not forget to flex!
<offer style="box-sizing: border-box;"></offer>
1. Todd Gurley II, RB, Los Angeles Rams: His worst game this season featured 23.7 PPR points. Worst game. Faces the Broncos, a team that just gave up a thousand yards to the Jets.
2. Melvin Gordon, RB, Los Angeles Chargers: Do you remember when he was a rookie bust? Ah, fond memories. Now he's on pace for 1,800 yards.
3. Saquon Barkley, RB, New York Giants: Short week, tough run defense, but he catches passes like a star.
4. DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Houston Texans: Double-digit targets in every game and his quarterback is consistent.
5. Adam Thielen, WR, Minnesota Vikings: Triple-digit yards in every game and his quarterback is ... well, he has topped 400 passing yards twice already.
6. Antonio Brown, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers: Stop whining about him.
7. Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Dallas Cowboys: Faces the Jaguars, so he might not run for 150 yards, but he should do something.
8. Christian McCaffrey, RB, Carolina Panthers: The No. 2 Panther in receptions has 18 in four games. Not a lot.
9. Julio Jones, WR, Atlanta Falcons: Every wide receiver in the top 56 in PPR scoring has scored a receiving touchdown except this guy, and he is still No. 14. Great time to buy low, if possible.
10. Odell Beckham Jr., WR, New York Giants: Do not expect more passing touchdowns, but he is doing fine with the receiving.
11. A.J. Green, WR, Cincinnati Bengals
12. Davante Adams, WR, Green Bay Packers: Sure, keep telling us how Aaron Rodgers is done. Adams has touchdowns in four of five games.
13. David Johnson, RB, Arizona Cardinals: He does have five touchdowns, you know.
14. Kareem Hunt, RB, Kansas City Chiefs
15. T.J. Yeldon, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars: As long as Leonard Fournette is out, Yeldon is a borderline RB1.
16. James Conner, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers: One more week. Conner deserves better, but keep him rostered in case.
17. Keenan Allen, WR, Los Angeles Chargers
18. Mike Evans, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Now that Jameis is back, watch out! I only kind of mean that, but still, rely on Evans.
19. Tyreek Hill, WR, Kansas City Chiefs
20. Joe Mixon, RB, Cincinnati Bengals: Team certainly did not ease him back into the lineup slowly. You can count on him.
21. Sony Michel, RB, New England Patriots: Chiefs permit the second-most points to running backs. Not that it matters. Michel is a must-start anyway.
22. Stefon Diggs, WR, Minnesota Vikings
23. JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers: He can share with Antonio every so often, too.
24. Travis Kelce, TE, Kansas City Chiefs
25. Zach Ertz, TE, Philadelphia Eagles: On pace for some incredible numbers. Only three wide receivers have more targets.
26. Rob Gronkowski, TE, New England Patriots: Wow, 53 players have more targets than he does. This is a problem.
27. Jarvis Landry, WR, Cleveland Browns
28. Julian Edelman, WR, New England Patriots: Looked healthy and active to me.
29. Jordan Howard, RB, Chicago Bears
30. Marshawn Lynch, RB, Oakland Raiders: Playing better than I expected, and has nine more catches than invisible Doug Martin.
31. Emmanuel Sanders, WR, Denver Broncos
32. T.Y. Hilton, WR, Indianapolis Colts: Andrew Luck can throw it deep if he wants. Hilton is still getting his numbers.
33. Carlos Hyde, RB, Cleveland Browns: Tough Week 5 matchup held him back, but still had ample touches. Invest in Hyde.
34. James White, RB, New England Patriots: Double-digit targets in the first half? Sign us up.
35. Chris Carson, RB, Seattle Seahawks: Showing signs of stardom. Needs to prove durability, too.
36. Cooper Kupp, WR, Los Angeles Rams
37. Robert Woods, WR, Los Angeles Rams
38. Brandin Cooks, WR, Los Angeles Rams: He and Kupp left Week 5 with concussions, but rumor is they are fine.
39. Devonta Freeman, RB, Atlanta Falcons: Another timeshare? Enough to scare us a bit.
40. Dion Lewis, RB, Tennessee Titans: Timeshare not the problem for Lewis. The quarterback might be if he cannot become a consistent threat.
41. Demaryius Thomas, WR, Denver Broncos
42. Tyler Boyd, WR, Cincinnati Bengals: Surprise ranking to some, but the matchup is right and he is a top-20 wide receiver so far.
43. LeSean McCoy, RB, Buffalo Bills: Do not run away. Good times are ahead.
44. Dalvin Cook, RB, Minnesota Vikings: Same deal, though it is fair to wonder if Cook is not what we thought.
45. Chris Thompson, RB, Washington Redskins
46. Allen Robinson, WR, Chicago Bears
47. Alshon Jeffery, WR, Philadelphia Eagles
48. Amari Cooper, WR, Oakland Raiders
49. Alex Collins, RB, Baltimore Ravens: Backing off my claims he would be a safe RB2. He is sharing too many touches.
50. Alfred Morris, RB, San Francisco 49ers: Assuming Matt Breida is out, Morris gets a big opportunity, though he does not catch passes.
51. Nyheim Hines, RB, Indianapolis Colts: Um, he catches passes!
52. Will Fuller V, WR, Houston Texans
53. Doug Baldwin, WR, Seattle Seahawks
54. Adrian Peterson, RB, Washington Redskins: I just do not think he can be consistent. He will frustrate you.
55. Bilal Powell, RB, New York Jets: The first Jets running back listed here, which in itself is a story since the other one ran wild last week. Do not get fooled.
56. Corey Davis, WR, Tennessee Titans
57. Josh Gordon, WR, New England Patriots: Chiefs defended better last week, but when Gordon is right, it will not matter.
58. Calvin Ridley, WR, Atlanta Falcons: What? How dare he fail to score a touchdown? People had him Hall of Fame bound!
59. Tyler Lockett, WR, Seattle Seahawks: Scoring touchdowns is not a problem here.
60. Sterling Shepard, WR, New York Giants: Eagles are not playing well in the secondary.
61. Sammy Watkins, WR, Kansas City Chiefs
62. Phillip Lindsay, RB, Denver Broncos
63. Lamar Miller, RB, Houston Texans: He really is not a great player, but he had last week off, so he should be fresh.
64. Isaiah Crowell, RB, New York Jets: Good time to sell high on him, but who is going to buy?
65. John Brown, WR, Baltimore Ravens
66. Randall Cobb, WR, Green Bay Packers
67. Jimmy Graham, TE, Green Bay Packers
68. Eric Ebron, TE, Indianapolis Colts: Mock if you will, but only two tight ends have caught more than two touchdown passes, and he has five. (Kelce is the other.)
69. Jared Cook, TE, Oakland Raiders: Quiet Week 5, but still playing a key role.
70. DeSean Jackson, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
71. Peyton Barber, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Uninspiring numbers for him but the Falcons are so bad against running backs he has to do something.
72. Tevin Coleman, RB, Atlanta Falcons
73. Austin Ekeler, RB, Los Angeles Chargers
74. Wendell Smallwood, RB, Philadelphia Eagles: Hard to know how Philly will use its running backs with Jay Ajayi out, and it is a short week. Be careful here trusting anyone.
75. Corey Clement, RB, Philadelphia Eagles
76. Kenyan Drake, RB, Miami Dolphins: Cannot call it a breakout game with six rushing attempts. Needs a bigger role.
77. Aaron Jones, RB, Green Bay Packers: Make sure he is on a roster in your league because when the club finally wises up and gives him 20 touches, it will be too late.
78. Derrick Henry, RB, Tennessee Titans: Or Jones turns into this guy. I doubt it.
79. Tarik Cohen, RB, Chicago Bears
80. Royce Freeman, RB, Denver Broncos
81. Jordan Reed, TE, Washington Redskins: Sure, keep praising him for actually playing in all games when 14 tight ends have more PPR points. Yawn.
82. George Kittle, TE, San Francisco 49ers
83. Quincy Enunwa, WR, New York Jets: Big week for him and his future value. Do not give up yet.
84. Devin Funchess, WR, Carolina Panthers
85. Michael Crabtree, WR, Baltimore Ravens
86. Larry Fitzgerald, WR, Arizona Cardinals: OK, so perhaps this really is the end.
87. Nelson Agholor, WR, Philadelphia Eagles: Fewer than 50 receiving yards in four of five games. That is not helpful.
88. Keelan Cole, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars: Starting to look like none of the Jaguars wide receivers stands out, and they are not the Rams' trio.
89. Javorius Allen, RB, Baltimore Ravens
90. Mike Davis, RB, Seattle Seahawks: Still a factor even with Carson playing well. Keep him rostered.
91. Jamaal Williams, RB, Green Bay Packers: OK, so he helps protect Rodgers. Awesome.
92. Latavius Murray, RB, Minnesota Vikings: Even when Cook does not play, do you notice Murray?
93. Alfred Blue, RB, Houston Texans: Even when Miller does not play, same thing.
94. Robby Anderson, WR, New York Jets: Do it again and you return to WR3 status, maybe.
95. Geronimo Allison, WR, Green Bay Packers
96. Ty Montgomery, RB, Green Bay Packers
97. Frank Gore, RB, Miami Dolphins: Feel like he should not be getting as many rushes as he does, but then again, we do not run his team.
98. Ronald Jones, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Feel like his future remains bright, if you can wait.
99. Jordy Nelson, WR, Oakland Raiders
100. Jalen Richard, RB, Oakland Raiders
Others: Kenny Stills, WR, Miami Dolphins; Mohamed Sanu, WR, Atlanta Falcons; Chris Hogan, WR, New England Patriots; Pierre Garcon, WR, San Francisco 49ers; Chris Ivory, RB, Buffalo Bills; Jamison Crowder, WR, Washington Redskins; Mike Williams, WR, Los Angeles Chargers; Duke Johnson Jr., RB, Cleveland Browns; Kyle Juszczyk, RB, San Francisco 49ers; Mark Walton, RB, Cincinnati Bengals; Keke Coutee, WR, Houston Texans
