I am in London spending the whole day in the books betting and drinking.
I wanna play for the action only but as informed as I can. There are 8 FA cup games this weekend and some more league games. I have been studying all week and here is what I got so far.
Liverpool v Man utd. Liverpool is getting some sharp action but the papers and public seem to be on them as well. Man U has been less than spectacular the last five but the Glazers own them so I root for Man U. I just am looking for a reason to play them.
Preston v Middlesbrough This one is interesting because Preston is on a 22 game unbeaten streak but 8-5 at home. That is one of the nicer prices for a home team and Middlesbrough may be in the Premiership but they are at the bottom of it. I have seen most of the local guys on Preston as well.
Bolton v West Ham Bolton is getting all of the action and seem to have West Ham's number, doesn't seem like much of a play to me.
Charlton v Brentford Brentford is getting a nice 13-2 on the road and some backing in the papers. Any takers?
Newcastle v Southampton Newcastle big fav, not much else.
Stoke v Birmingham Stoke has lots of internal fighting as far as I can tell. Birmingham is evens, seems like a decent spot but probably very public play.
Chelsea v Colchester Much has been written in the papers this week about Colchester manager comments about Chelsea being vulnerable. Papers seem to agree but think it will be against Barcelona not Colchester. Lottery price on Colchester.
Aston Villa v Man City Confusing comments about this game in the papers, I am way too American to understand what the hell they are talking about but I know most like Aston Villa at home at 11-8.
I only did the write ups to generate conversation. This is to the best of my interpretation so if there are mistakes please help me. I need picks fast, Liverpool v Man utd kicks off at 7:30 AM EST.
