Explaining to white people what it means to live in the Ghetto

The Baltimore video posted the other day is JUST ANOTHER DAY in the ghetto,,,

I lived in the ghetto for years,,, its not a black or white thing, (unless it is) its a ghetto thing, If you "have" its ghetto Law to Take,, thats just how it is,, thats what it is,,,

The ghetto mentality is to take from those that have, and embarrass and hurt those that dont belong in the ghetto,, so as you saw the blacks did target Other blacks as well as whites,, they were targeting anyone that didnt belong,,

if anyone has any questions on ghetto mentality please post here I will try to answer/translate throughout the day,

I know what your saying, but I am white, I did receive my ghetto card, I was brought into the fold, what your saying is Kindof correct,, I didnt get the Nword Pass,,, but I DID get a few N***a passes,,,

having said that, I got 95% ghetto card, everything else was on the table, when they knew I had the "pass" I was treated just like my darker skinned brothers,, (that doesnt mean good, lol) it means the same..

I was a part of squirrel and colt 45 cookouts, lol (multiple) lol,,, this isnt a joke,,, lol,, black girls wanted to mess with me, but ONLY on the down low, I guess thats reverse jungle fever? lol,,, again, they wanted it to be secret, I have dated many black girls, none from the ghetto,,
again, in the ghetto, anything goes, ie; you will get diseases and they will laugh about giving you the herp or VD or crabs,, Hiv is different, thats called the package, you get the package and its the strangest badge(of honor??). this I cant really explain

In the Black community in the Summer they like to hold huge outdoor parties. Some are at playgrounds and in the upscale neighborhoods, backyards. I DJd all over Philly in the 80s, all the way up until a few years ago when my back went out. I made a connection with a guy in Mount Airy who saw me DJ a Black wedding in North Philly where dinner didn't get finished because everybody got up to dance. I did a lot of cookouts in this guy's yard, and my biz cards got snapped up, leading to dozens of other shows. I had Black gigs from Reading all the way down to Atlantic City, sometimes 3 shows a weekend.

Tate I have had so many experiences behind the tables, good and bad. From equipment breaking, seeing girls get fingered at tables down below from a skybooth, brawls in the crowd, and people making it rain on me. I never wanted it to stop!

I lived in the ghetto, we used to call the "the projects" for a few years. While we eventually moved to an Italian neighborhood, I can say I grew up in a poorer urban area and played hoops in all the worst neighborhoods

Not the beneficiary of any "white privilege", but absolutely the beneficiary of two hard working parents

I think I can relate because I think we are close to the same age, maybe had similar circumstances. I think ghetto now would be a lot harder. We had food, shelter (no car), but when you looked around, everybody was poor af, that's just the way it was and it was all we knew, until we can start experiencing other things. Me personally, probably around age 11. I can't imagine being like around 7 (or even younger) and going on YouTube at school or a library and seeing that not everyone lives like that. That would've really fucked me up lol
