I don't have confidence in this play and wanted to see why everybody is SJST. .

1) I know I am not going to sit here and waste my time listing why I like a team. I do my own research, stats, injuries, history, coaches tendencies, etc.

2) YOU DON"T HAVE CONFIDENCE- DON'T PLAY IT.

I don't know how long you have been betting, but if this is about money more than entertainment, then don't bet the game and wait for Halftime.

Good luck either way.

Remember this is like a pro baseball player, you need to be a grinder.

I couldn't disagree with you more. This is a conference rivalry game and these teams have come to know each other. What's happened before has a lot to do with what will happen next. History matters in conference rivalry games, especially recent games where many of the players are back again. Apparently so does the home field.

As Mr. Cover said, none of these players were playing 5 years ago. Let alone 4 or 3 years ago. College is one sport where the turnover rate can be huge from year to year, unlike the pros.

As for history, tell the Rays that last years performance means a lot this year. Not a whole lot changed on that team from last year, except their record.

Boise State is obviously a very good football team, however I'm taking San Jose State. San Jose State has a history of playing very well at home. Last year when Hawaii was undefeated San Jose found a way to keep the game close. I think they they beat Boise straight up tonight.

Last time I checked the QB doesn't play on defense and Stanford isn't a good team. Calm down man just trying to get a feel for this game and still deciding who to take.

Sorry, not trying to be dick, but you are waiting for someone to tell you that you probably already know.

Again, if you like it, take it. If not show discipline and wait for the 2nd half.

I took the Under 41 and No touchdown scored from more than 42.5 yards.

Same fishy line (non)movement was there for oakland +3 vs. the jets. Same thing going on here. Public is on the Boise huge but the books aren't moving the line to cover it. I'm cashing in with the books. SJSU probably wont win or cover big, but its a great possibility that they do cover.

I have the under at 41 already and trying to figure out a side play. Point of the thread was I haven't watched San Jose St. and wanted to know how good a team they are. Just by looking at the stats I don't think they are that good, but stats don't tell the whole truth.

I like them because there at home and its going to go off in San jose which never happens. Biggest crowd these players will have in front of them at home in a LONG TIME.

Wait you just said you took the under, but haven't seen them play. So then why did you play the under, I am assuming you based that on the stats.

Also, you seem to be in dire need of action on a side for some reason. I can't stress enough, if you don't like a side don't take it. I don't understand why you have such a hard time watching your under and waiting to see if some sort of gravy opens up at halftime.

Typically, you play the Under + Dog or Over +Fav :hump:

Took the under because of Boise St. defense as I don't see SJST scoring more than 17 points and from the stats yes it looks like SJST defense is good. I don't take 2nd half lines. Probably just take the under and stick with that.

You are not paying attention. It's a rivalry game and it almost doesn't matter who's been where and for how long. The schools themselves have a problem with each other down through the years and that will confront every player who makes the next team as well as the players that are there now. You cannot ignore trends like home field outcomes when they play each other too. There are a lot more things than who's been there and for how long to consider.

Coaching is another thing. Everything's been different since Dick Tomey took over at SJ St. The Spartans CONTEND with better teams going back to when he started coaching there. Keeping them close at home and ALMOST beating Boise twice in a row at home carries down through the whole program. Then on top of that every senior playing was there in '06. None of your arguments take any of these things into account if you deny the history of this series as you do, you won't get it. You won't get what this game means to the Spartans. That's 1/2 the story but if you want to ignore it fine.

Went with my gut and took Boise St. with the under. Guys might know something more than me, but I'm hoping that isn't the case.

I don't take 2nd half lines. quote]

Can you please explain why you don't take 2nd Half lines. Some of the easiest plays you will ever get are 2nd half lines and that includes even the best Full-game straight plays.

Usually not around the computer by halftime. If I'm around I might take one or two. Usually take 2nd half lines in college basketball.

You're more than welcome.

Next time just go with your gut and save everyone who tries to answer you all the trouble.

Guys still didn't discuss about SJST players. Only saw line movements and home field advantage.

Did SJST have a different qb last year? I was reading over the game log and they had a diff qb, Tafralis? AND brought in the backup, La Secla who looks like he is 3rd string this year. Makes me wonder if Reed can improve on the 7:6 TD/INT??? Thoughts?

By the way im on BSU @7

Pretty much everything I expected happened though I was expecting the SJST defense to play better, but they are clearly overrated.
