Love the insight you offer Ace and I would like to possibly help too. Not sure if this interests anyone but these are power ratings according to how the oddsmakers set the opening line each week. This chart is from before the week 11 games were played, so you can see what the week 12 spreads would've been if week 11 had never occurred. And I will update them for this week so you can see what the lines would be next week without week 12. Simple add three to the home team and subtract, like most power ratings work. The math won't be exact when looking behind/ahead because they are tweaked each week to be exact for that week's spread so approximation is applied for the would-be spreads.

I like this factor..just one more tool or one more view to match-up to our plays!!
that's a big adjustment in the PITT game!

Im glad I could potentially help ACE. The Pit-Cin game stood out to me as well. Before this week Pitt and Phi were about equal, so the Phi@Cin spread would've been the same for Pit@Cin. But instead we get the equivalent of Pit-4@Cin. Huge difference! But I think if we look at the matchup I think it's not so surprising.

Looking at Cincy their defense has been better the past few weeks. Not a lot better, but better. Fitz can only get more comfortable with the offense as time goes on. They just held a very good team to a tie as huge underdogs.

Pit, on the other hand, has been struggling on offense all year. Their defense is great no matter how you look at it. With such a low total I think a spread any higher than this would've been outrageous. This seems like a big one week reaction but considering each team's respective circumstances I think the spread is fair.

As for the actual games, I still don't think the Giants are getting enough respect. I like Chicago (why would Vegas bump up that spread despite Chicago getting crushed? Rams did as well, but still.....). OAK, SF (spreads much too big). Miami (I just think they're still underrated and better than NE. Helps that the public is all over NE in this one). Minnesota (handled in the TB game despite the close score, but still much better than Jax. That loss to Ten must have been demoralizing.) Jets (impressive road win and why such a big diff in the spread despite a very impressive performance by Ten on the road in a game I think several sharps thought Jax would win?). And lastly, Atlanta at home. (Very balanced attack but I think it will be their stellar air attack that will ultimately bury Carolina.)

New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins [CBS | 1 PM ET]

Patriots: New England QB Matt Cassel is coming off the best game of his career, completing 31-of-50 passes for 400 yards and rushing for 62 yards. Unfortunately for Cassel and the Pats, the effort resulted in a tough 34-31 overtime loss to the Jets that dropped them out of first place. “(When) you go through a game like that, you look back at 20, 25, 30 plays - any one of them could have made a little bit of a difference or maybe a big difference,” New England head coach Bill Belichick said. “I think everybody feels probably about the same way, that if I could have just done one thing differently or done one thing better or not done one thing or whatever. That’s the way I feel. I’m sure that’s the way all the players and assistant coaches feel.”

Patriots are 3-7 ATS in the last 10 meetings at Miami.
The UNDER is 10-3 in New England's last 13 November games.

Key Injuries - RB LaMont Jordan (leg) is questionable.
LB Adalius Thomas (forearm) is OUT.

Dolphins (-2, O/U 42): Miami has won four straight games to surge into a second-place tie in the AFC East with New England, a team the Dolphins beat handily 38-13 in Foxboro back in Week 3. New Miami head coach Tony Sparano has done an outstanding job of keeping his players focused from week to week, and it has already resulted in a great turnaround from 1-15 last season. The Dolphins are coming off a17-15 win over the Raiders and have been accused of playing to the level of their competition. “Three, four weeks ago, nobody cared about what the Miami Dolphins were doing, so I find it hard to believe that my guys are playing down to any level," Sparano said. "I think these guys go out and they sell out and they play pretty hard when they’re out there."

Dolphins are 6-20-2 ATS in their last 28 games vs. AFC East.
The UNDER is 4-0 in Miami's last 4 games overall.

Key Injuries - NONE

PROJECTED SCORE: 24 (Side Play of the Day)

New York Giants at Arizona Cardinals [FOX | 4:15 PM ET]

Giants (-3, O/U 49): New York is coming off a dominant performance in a 30-10 victory against the Ravens last week, improving to 6-0 at home and 9-1 overall. The Giants rolled over the NFL's top-ranked run defense en route to 207 yards on the ground, topping the 200-yard mark for the third game in a row. “They have a great defense, a great front, great linebackers with a lot of experience,” New York OT David Diehl said. “You watch film and you see teams get frustrated by only making 2 or 3 yards or getting tackled for a loss. The great thing is, we just stuck to our game plan. We knew that if we just kept pounding away that eventually they were going to crack.”

Giants are 11-1 ATS in their last 12 games vs. a team with a winning record.
Giants are 22-6 ATS in their last 28 games overall.

Key Injuries - S James Butler (ankle) is questionable.
OL Gerris Wilkinson (knee) is questionable.
LB Jonathan Goff (concussion) is questionable.

PROJECTED SCORE: 31 (OVER - Total Play of the Day)

Cardinals: Arizona can clinch the NFC West with a win against the Giants, which would be their first division title since 1975. The Cardinals will be hosting the team that won the Super Bowl in their stadium just nine months ago, and former New York QB Kurt Warner will also get an opportunity to exact some revenge. “We know we are going to meet the best,” Cardinals defensive tackle Darnell Dockett said. “This is the best team in football.”

Cardinals are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games overall.
The OVER is 23-9 in Arizona's last 32 games overall.

Key Injuries - TE Ben Patrick (knee) is questionable.
TE Jerame Tuman (ankle) is questionable.

PROJECTED SCORE: 28

Indianapolis Colts at San Diego Chargers [NBC | 8:15 PM ET]

Colts: Indy is finally starting to gain some momentum, winning three straight games after sitting at 3-4. Colts head coach Tony Dungy believes the win over the Texans last week was a good challenge and showed him they were certainly capable of winning a shootout. “(The Houston game) was a big win for us, one we definitely needed to get that home win and another division win,” Dungy said. “But our offense really clicked, maybe for the first time all year on all cylinders. We got our running game going, and that got us some looks at some one-on-one (pass) coverage on the outside. I thought we had some clutch drives answering some of the (Texans’) scores."

Colts are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall.
The OVER is 6-2 in Indy's last 8 games vs. AFC.

Key Injuries - CB Kelvin Hayden (knee) is questionable.
S Bob Sanders (ankle) is questionable.

PROJECTED SCORE: 23

Chargers (-3, O/U 49): San Diego RB LaDainian Tomlinson has been vocal about his desire to see the Chargers become more of a running team, and he is becoming increasingly concerned about their playoff hopes following a tough 11-10 loss at Pittsburgh last week. "Whenever you keep blowing opportunities, then at some point as they say, opportunities don’t come about anymore,” Tomlinson said. “It’s like when the opportunity comes, you open the door and take it, and if you don’t, it will pass you by and go to someone else.”

Chargers are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 home games.
The UNDER is 5-1 in San Diego's last 6 games overall.

Key Injuries -CB Cletis Gordon (knee) is questionable.
CB Steve Gregory (shoulder) is questionable.
DE Jacques Cesaire (knee) is questionable.

PROJECTED SCORE: 27

DIRECT FROM NEVADA
WITH NICK BOGDANOVICH

IT WAS THE WORST CALL I'VE SEEN IN MY LIFE!
There's been a lot of talk in the media the past few days about that crazy ending to the San Diego/Pittsburgh game this past Sunday. I can tell you it was a madhouse at the sportsbooks because nobody knew for sure who won. Pittsburgh bettors wanted to cash their tickets. San Diego bettors were hoping the officials would bail them out. It took a long time for the game to go official.
When it finally did, more bedlam!
What's been lost in the national media coverage has been the simplest point. The officials blew the call. I knew the TD should have counted when I was watching it live. The replays confirmed it. I don't know how the refs could go under the hood and come out with a different answer. It was impossible to overrule that play!
Maybe the media is too close to the NFL to want to focus on poor officiating. This has been a horrible year for the pro refs. They instituted instant replay many years ago to eliminate situations like this. But, they still keep finding a way to screw everything up.
The media focused on variations of "63 million dollars changing hands" or whatever. I'm not sure how they came up with that number. I can tell you that the books in general needed San Diego there. Not every single one did. My employers actually needed Pittsburgh in that game. Most places though were rooting for the dog because of parlay cards.
Remember the late games Sunday?
 • Favored San Francisco covered against St. Louis
 • Favored Arizona covered against Seattle
 • Favored Tennessee covered against Jacksonville in the time change game
If Pittsburgh had covered, that would have been four for four on the favorites. The public was all over Dallas in the night game, and that ended up winning too. It was almost a barbecue for sportsbooks in the late action. The ruling in favor of San Diego helped reduce the carnage.
But, nobody should get the idea that any conspiracies were involved. It was plain old incompetence. Refs keep getting the calls wrong. I can tell you, if I had placed a big bet on Pittsburgh I would have wanted to take poison after that blown call.
I also heard some Fantasy Football guys complaining about the call because some leagues reward defensive points. Guys rooting for the Pittsburgh defense got hosed there.
The big story should have been "Refs screw up again" instead of anything suggesting conspiracies. For one thing, anyone involved in an actual conspiracy wouldn't be that obvious about it! Some sportsbooks were rooting for Pittsburgh. Others were rooting for San Diego. I'm not sure who the island places were rooting for. They don't have parlay cards to sweat. This was just like any other game. Last second plays determine who cashes their tickets all the time. What was special here was that it was a horrible officiating call. The fact that "money changed hands" is irrelevant.
 • You could argue a coin flip determined who covered the Thursday night overtime game between the Jets and the Patriots last week. If the Patriots win the flip, maybe they push with a field goal or cover with a touchdown. There weren't any stories about "coin flip" conspiracies coming out of Nevada.
 • Money changed hands in the final seconds of Stanford/USC. The Cardinal scored a TD on their last play of the game to sneak in the back door. There weren't any news stories about that.
 • Moneyline bets would have gone to Buffalo if they had made a last second field goal Monday night. Instead, those who bet on underdog Cleveland to win outright cashed their bets when the kick went wide right. Did you read any stories about the Nevada angle of that?
Late plays changing who gets to cash their tickets happen all the time! That's not a story. Three pointers at the buzzer in basketball determining who covers. Empty net goals in hockey turning an Under into an Over. Two run homers with two outs in the bottom of the 9th inning changing a side or total winner. Have you ever read mainstream media stories about the Nevada angle on any of that stuff? This happens in Pittsburgh and suddenly "millions of dollars change hands in Nevada" is the big story?
Maybe the press should use some instant replay on their own coverage so they can get some perspective!
Things could get crazy again this weekend in Las Vegas and Reno because of Rivalry Saturday in college football. The public loves betting those rivalry games because they have such great histories. It's also the last full Saturday of college action. Bettors really send it when they know a season is about to end.

$600.00‘Under’ 36 Cincinnati at Pittsburgh (8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 20)
I think that weather is certainly going to be a factor tonight in Pittsburgh. We are looking at temperatures in the 20's, high winds, and possible snow flurries. On top of that the Cincinnati defense has been playing better (holding Philly's offense to just 13 points last week) and Pittsburgh has one of the top units in the NFL. Three of the last four in this series have stayed 'under' and three of Cincy's last four games have stayed 'under'. Chad Johnson is out for the Bengals and that is one less weapon for them to use.

You could argue a coin flip determined who covered the Thursday night overtime game between the Jets and the Patriots last week. If the Patriots win the flip, maybe they push with a field goal or cover with a touchdown. There weren't any stories about "coin flip" conspiracies coming out of Nevada.
Money changed hands in the final seconds of Stanford/USC. The Cardinal scored a TD on their last play of the game to sneak in the back door. There weren't any news stories about that.
Moneyline bets would have gone to Buffalo if they had made a last second field goal Monday night. Instead, those who bet on underdog Cleveland to win outright cashed their bets when the kick went wide right. Did you read any stories about the Nevada angle of that?

I like reading Nick's article's but there is NO comparison between these three games and the Pit/SD game. None of those three had the refs changing correct calls to incorrect calls after the game was over.

$800.00 #202 San Francisco (+10.5) over Dallas (1 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 23)
Everyone thinks that Dallas is back to dominating just because they have Tony Romo back. But this team still has a lot of flaws and they have not been a strong play as a big favorite. Dallas is just 3-10 ATS against other teams from the NFC and they are playing a 49ers team that is finally playing with some life.

$2500.00 #212 Jacksonville (-2) over Minnesota (1 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 23)
The Jaguars played great football for one half last week against Tennessee. I think their season is already finished as far as the postseason is concerned but they are still playing for their lives. Minnesota is not a very strong road team and they just cannot move the ball through the air. The Jags are 16-5-1 ATS after scoring less than 15 points in a game and the Vikings are 1-5 ATS on the road.

$500.00 #208 Baltimore (-1) over Philadelphia (1 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 23)
If Philadelphia cannot beat Cincinnati on the road I don't think that they can beat the Ravens on the road. The bottom line is that the Eagles just have not been very good over the last month and it's time to keep betting against the Reid-McNabb combo. The Eagles have had the distraction of the whole "tie" situation this week and I just don't think they will move the ball with their passing attack against a Ravens defense that was humiliated last week against the Giants. Baltimore has covered four of five at home.

$400.00 #215 Oakland (+9.5) over Denver (4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 23)
Oakland has revenge in this game for getting embarrassed on Monday Night Football to open the season. Denver has won two wild games in a row on the road and I think that they might be emotionally spent. The Broncos have not been a good ATS team this season as a favorite and they are still just 9-24-1 ATS over the last few years. Denver is also 3-11-1 ATS after a win and they are 5-16-1 ATS at home.

$800.00 #214 Atlanta (-1) over Carolina (4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 23)
Any time that a team with a better record is an underdog against a team that usually means the team with the worse record is going to win. Atlanta did not play well in the second half against Denver last week but they have still been a very strong team this season. The Panthers were sleeping through the first half against a terrible Detroit team at home last week and I think are ripe for an upset. Carolina is 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 games in Atlanta and Jake Delhomme is not taking care of the ball.

Wow ace, I agree with all your picks this week I love it but your still showing Dallas no love. Other than getting Romo and Witten back, they also got back a few key defensive players back. I like S.F. plus the points because that's a lot of chalk against a very different and motivated S.F. But Dallas is a very different team also and we will see what they are really made of in the next couple of weeks. Love your input ace.
