ace- not here to pile on the bashing as my goal is the same as yours to pick as many winners as possible. I do have a question though and please don't take this the wrong way.
For being an ex-bookie you sure have a square style to capping. being a bookie at one point you should know that if you cap games using just stats and who is "supposively" the better team you WILL lose. Vegas has the same stats you do and it is all reflected in the line being set. to take det and cinn as road dogs is unbelivable to me. Why would you ever consider taking 2 horrible teams as road fav's?? for one being an ex bookie you should know that bad road favorites are the absolute quickest way to burn your bankroll. det and cinn will be lucky to win 6 games a piece yet you think playing them as road fav's is a good spot to back them???

If anyone has a problem with Ace's picks then Don't play them...It is really that simple...He provides very valuable capping information for sport investors that are in it for the long term... clearly some of you are very new at this or you would understand that any one can have bad days.......Ace I do not know how you put up with these adolesencent whiners, but i am glad you do..Thanks
You're dead on, thats what surprised me about those "investment" picks. The wagering public was on those games at (I believe) an 80% clip or higher, thats what scared me from the get. On another note, even though "The Baron" didn't necessarily go about it in the proper manner, nobody really cares about the "candy" you post. Even though the views may be up there, you are far too intelligent of a handicapper to even post that crap. Once you've been wagering for more than a year (and no longer green), who really gives a crap about trends? Not only is that junk offered for free by e mail by many places, but its the same stuff out of The Gold Sheet, Phil Steele's Power Sweep, etc., real players don't give a damn about trends. Tough year last year, and not a great start to this one, hope things turn around.
i would have wrote it earlier but was in vegas this weekend and did not even see his picks and did not get on the internet all weekend. i am not saying this because he lost, i would have said it before the games went off if i saw it. the guy has a HUGE following and frankly i am shocked at how square he is...even the year he was great was known as the year of the favorites since then he has been mediocre at best and its precisely cause of square novice bets like this
most bookies or ex-bookies i know understand how the game works. no professional handicapper would bet 2 road dogs that have NO chance of being good teams. betting bad teams on the road is a bad idea but betting bad teams that are favored on the road is the worst possible bet you can make in the NFl. coming from someone with experience i was shocked he made those his biggest plays. i mean asking cincy and detroit, two of the worst teams in football, to cover a spread on the road is pure insanity and i don't care who they are playing.
the easiest bet i made this weekend was a 2 team teaser with ATl and Balt...never in doubt for even a second
I wish you would have gotten an update in ..... my bank roll went up in smoke. Really tough to take. Living in baltimore I thought I had a good take on this team. Of course I didn't realize how bad cinci is. Detroit loosing at Atlanta was another square play I fell hook line and sinker for. Then top it off with Sandiego and colts last nite , I am basically screwed!
When Ace has a good week many a people roll out the red carpet for him. So when he has a bad week there are going to be critics, it is to be expected. I personally do not for the life of me know why anyone including Ace would send it in on opening week when so little information is available. IMO those who follow Ace are justified in questioning his 3 investment plays which were all very popular with the public, questions should be asked.

all side with 54% and higher when public 129-123...not money but even
totals over and under when public 155-106...and if you follow each one you would have made money... so dont tell me that my plays was public plays...they was base on stats and guts and that what make one win in the long run!
This year I will tell it one step more..... any public play over 65%
so far this week and tonight there gb over 65%....by the way I'am on the under
games that the public bet over 65% when 7-4 and you would have won
totals when 2-2 and there are two games tonight
The nice thing about a forum is you make a thread to show your way of capping. and every time I lose someone says you are a bad capper to they are public plays....I have been here 4 years and won big two of them and had one bad year. last year I won $3400. 3-1 record +$70,152......think long term guys not short term

we're all a part of a community thats bigger than any of us. for the most part, we're just a group of guys looking to enjoy some time and win some money. its about the community, the industry, helping out, and trying to make some money. fairly simple, really
