Some additional stats. Bengals are 3-2 as an under in this system for games with 10+ value. Colts are 0-1 in Under games. Neither team has been selected in an over. Bengals are 4-1 with a 6pt tease and Colts are 1-0 with a 6pt tease. To me, that's a pretty strong difference. 3-3 total for the Under but 5-1 with a tease.
But as we all know, Ace doesn't let a spreadsheet pick the games for him. It shows him which to look at and then he does the capping from there.

I would agree with this statement regarding MOST trends, probably 90%, but you can't make a blanket statement for ALL trends. People that don't believe in trends might have taken the same path; they ones they checked out didn't work so they dismiss trends altogether but that's simply false. There's different types of trends. Legitimate trends are out there, albeit not many.
ACE-ACE can say he's won in football 13 out of 15 years or whatever. That's a trend isn't it? Yet he's not always going to win every week.
How can something that happened in past years mean anything this year? Because sports are played by human beings and, when placed in a "unique situation", human beings experience the same emotions. They rise up or become flat. Trends identifying human nature can be extremely reliable. I'm on the road so I don't have my NFL library with me but I have a very simple one going back over 25 years and over 800 games that is close to 57%. I found this maybe eight years ago and it has produced 30-45 games a year and profited ALL 8 years going forward. Know what it's hit in those 8 years going forward? Close to 57%. There's only a fraction of 1% possibility that can be a fluke.

WHAT THE SHARPS ARE THINKING ABOUT THIS WEEK’S NFL GAMES
Time once again for our weekly look at what sharps (professional wagerers in Las Vegas and Nevada) are thinking about this week’s NFL games. As always, we’ll take them in rotation order.
CINCINNATI AT INDIANAPOLIS: Old school guys acted quickly when they saw the opener of Indy by 14.5. I’m currently seeing 13.5 everywhere. Those who were chasing all the double digit dogs have taken some hits lately. But, Cincinnati has been playing some defense this year…and Indianapolis had trouble putting up points at Cleveland last week. In fact, Indianapolis hasn’t been blowing people out this year much at all because of a tough schedule and a less than dominant defense. Cincinnati was a popular sharp bet early, and will get more attention Sunday if the public drives the line back up to -14. The squares love laying points with Peyton Manning, so that could happen. The total has come down a point from 42.5 to 41.5, showing support for the Under from sharps. Squares don’t bet totals early…and when they bet totals they play Overs.
JACKSONVILLE AT CHICAGO: Some support here for the Jaguars at +7 and Under 41 on the openers. I’m seeing +6.5 and 40 as I write this. I was a bit surprised by the love for the Jaguars given how poorly they played Monday Night in Houston. Of course, Minnesota played just as bad Sunday Night at Minnesota. There’s a lot of “Chicago shouldn’t be laying that many points to anybody” kind of sentiment out there. If the public drives the line back up to a TD, sharps will hit Jacksonville again. The money stopped coming in on the dog at 6.5.
HOUSTON AT GREEN BAY: A big move on the Under from the totals guys. The opener of 49 went down to 47. A lot of guys automatically bet Under in the cold weather cities in December knowing they can get off of it safely if the weather turns out to be good (as long as they find out EARLY that it’s going to be good!). Both of these defenses have been struggling of late, so I’m guessing the early money will jump off the Under if the weather is going to be good. Houston got support at +6 but not at +5.5.
CLEVELAND AT TENNESSEE: Big support for Cleveland at +14.5 out of the gate. Basically this was the same story as Cincinnati/Indianapolis. Old school guys took more than two touchdowns almost sight unseen. I’m not sure if they’ll like rooting for the very rusty Ken Dorsey. He’ll be getting the start for the Browns this week because of injuries to their top two quarterbacks. Can Dorsey score on Tennessee’s great defense? Sharps who have bet so far think he’ll put up enough to cover. There wasn’t any support from sharps on Tennessee at 13.5…so the sharps are clearly on the big ugly dog here. The total has gone up a tick from 36.5 to 37.
MINNESOTA AT DETROIT: Not much interest in this one. Who would bet Detroit the way they’ve been playing lately? The Lions were crushed in their last game against Tennessee. The line here did come down from 9.5 to 9. Some sharps will take any dog of more than a TD on principal. That’s who bet here. Nothing happening on the total. Limited enthusiasm about this matchup.
WASHINGTON AT BALTIMORE: This is the Sunday Night game after a time change. The opener of 5.5 dropped down to 5. I think a lot of old school guys are having trouble laying points with a rookie quarterback. Those same guys lost on Cincinnati plus the points against Baltimore last week! A couple of months ago, Washington would have been pounded here. They really impressed with their wins at Dallas and Philadelphia. They haven’t impressed often since. I haven’t seen much action yet. Bets that have come in early were on the dog. Since this is the late starter, there’s a chance for a big move on Sunday because everyone will have all day to bet. Will the public like the favorite? They usually do.
PHILADELPHIA AT NY GIANTS: All the turmoil surrounding the Giants early this week caused a lot of Philly action to come in. The Giants have responded well to turmoil this year and last…so I’m not sure that’s a smart move. In favor of the dog though is divisional revenge, and the fact that Donovan McNabb feels he has something to prove after losing the last meeting. I expect the public to hit the Giants over the weekend. They’ve been cleaning up backing the G-Men. The total has fallen from 45.3 to 43.3. Under players in the last meeting knew they were toast by the second quarter.
ATLANTA AT NEW ORLEANS: Big move on the Under here, as 53.5 has fallen to 51.5 up on the board. As I’ve mentioned often this year, older guys will bet Under on anything at 50 or over…and particularly at anything 52 or over. This may not be the year to do that given how high scoring many of the game have been. There was a Monday Night game on this field two weeks ago that saw more than 80 points scored. I expect the public to hit the Over on Sunday. If there’s a move back to 52, more sharps will hit the Under again. The team side is hanging between 3 and 3.5, with more enthusiasm for the dog at 3.5 than there is for the favorite at -3.
NY JETS AT SAN FRANCISCO: Not much going on here. Sharps don’t like laying points with favorites who have cross country trips. But, San Francisco is coming back from a cross-country trip, which is almost the same thing. Many sharps won big with the Niners last week in Buffalo. My take is that the Wise Guys are waiting to see if the public bets Brett Favre. They’ll take more than a field goal this weekend if they see it. The total has come down a tick from 45 to 44.5.
MIAMI AT BUFFALO: This game is in Toronto. Sharps hate games at weird sites like this because they don’t have much history to use for guidance. If they get information about one of the teams, they’ll bet the information. So far, not much is going on here. We’re talking about guys that bet HUGE if they think a line is off by as little as one point. How much is home field going to be worth for Buffalo in Toronto? If you can’t answer that question with confidence, you can’t step out on the game. Little action on the side or total here.
KANSAS CITY AT DENVER: There was a big move on Kansas City here at the opener of +9.5. Oddsmakers were afraid of that, which is why they didn’t open the game at +10. They should have started lower, because this line dropped very quickly to +8 or +8.5. Kansas City has been playing fairly well lately. Denver is inconsistent, and is coming off a big win in New York. They last time Denver played at home, they LOST to the Oakland team that lost to Kansas City last week and got blown out Thursday Night in San Diego. Sharps think this game could right down to the wire if Denver isn’t focused. Strong early action on the dog. The total actually went up a tick to 48.5 from 48, which is weird for a December game in Denver.
ST. LOUIS AT ARIZONA: You almost never see a double digit line go UP! That’s what happened here, as an opener of -13.5 went up to -14. St. Louis has been blowout fodder vs. good teams lately. Arizona killed them on the road. I think we have some position taking here from sharps who are “betting the public” rather than betting the game. They think this like will go up even higher, and they want a shot at middling the key number of 14. Dog lovers can come back over the top if they wish at a higher spread. I’m tempted to say this move is more about position taking than love for a huge favorite. Sharps just don’t invest that heavily in pricey favorites no matter how bad the dog looks.
DALLAS AT PITTSBURGH: The total fell from 41.5 down to 39.5. That makes a lot of sense given how low scoring games have been in Pittsburgh in recent weeks. Weather could be an influence as well. I focus more on sides than totals myself in terms of the openers. I think 41.5 was probably a bad line. If the weather is going to be bad, we’ll see the number go even lower. The spread has settled in at Pittsburgh by 3. Most guys I’m talking to seem to think the sharps will be on Dallas pretty heavy come kickoff. They’re hoping the public hits the favorite and takes the number up higher. That DIDN’T happen when Pittsburgh hosted the NY Giants, or when Philadelphia did the same. Sharps and squares were on the same side there (the dog), and sportsbooks lost big. There’s some concern in Nevada this weekend that sharps and squares will both be on the Cowboys.
NEW ENGLAND AT SEATTLE: The total fell from 44 to 43. That’s the only news here. Not much interest on the team side. This game is similar to Jets/49ers in that an AFC East team has crossed the continent to face an NFC West squad. It’s a weird scenario, and sharps like having a history to back up their bets. If the public comes in on the Eastern favorites, I expect sharps to take those bonus points right before kickoff on the Western home underdogs. TAMPA BAY AT CAROLINA: Nothing’s happening lately. This will probably be a heavily bet game on Monday because ALL Monday Night games get a lot of action. How could the line move off -3? These teams are very evenly matched, and home field is worth a field goal. If the public hits the favorite (as always), we may see the number lift. That would just bring in sharp money on the dog though, and the risk for a disaster for the books if the game lands on a field goal. Most of the time, in this scenario, the public bets the favorites and the sportsbooks just root for the dog and hope for the best. Over the years, that’s worked out better than moving off the field goal. Sharps may not have much involvement here, as the sportsbooks themselves will take the risk on the dog.

In favor of the dog though is divisional revenge, and the fact that Donovan McNabb feels he has something to prove after losing the last meeting. I expect the public to hit the Giants over the weekend. They’ve been cleaning up backing the G-Men. The total has fallen from 45.3 to 43.3. Under players in the last meeting knew they were toast by the second quarter.
ATLANTA AT NEW ORLEANS: Big move on the Under here, as 53.5 has fallen to 51.5 up on the board. As I’ve mentioned often this year, older guys will bet Under on anything at 50 or over…and particularly at anything 52 or over. This may not be the year to do that given how high scoring many of the game have been. There was a Monday Night game on this field two weeks ago that saw more than 80 points scored. I expect the public to hit the Over on Sunday. If there’s a move back to 52, more sharps will hit the Under again. The team side is hanging between 3 and 3.5, with more enthusiasm for the dog at 3.5 than there is for the favorite at -3.
NY JETS AT SAN FRANCISCO: Not much going on here. Sharps don’t like laying points with favorites who have cross country trips. But, San Francisco is coming back from a cross-country trip, which is almost the same thing. Many sharps won big with the Niners last week in Buffalo. My take is that the Wise Guys are waiting to see if the public bets Brett Favre. They’ll take more than a field goal this weekend if they see it. The total has come down a tick from 45 to 44.5.
MIAMI AT BUFFALO: This game is in Toronto. Sharps hate games at weird sites like this because they don’t have much history to use for guidance. If they get information about one of the teams, they’ll bet the information. So far, not much is going on here. We’re talking about guys that bet HUGE if they think a line is off by as little as one point. How much is home field going to be worth for Buffalo in Toronto? If you can’t answer that question with confidence, you can’t step out on the game. Little action on the side or total here.
KANSAS CITY AT DENVER: There was a big move on Kansas City here at the opener of +9.5. Oddsmakers were afraid of that, which is why they didn’t open the game at +10. They should have started lower, because this line dropped very quickly to +8 or +8.5. Kansas City has been playing fairly well lately. Denver is inconsistent, and is coming off a big win in New York. They last time Denver played at home, they LOST to the Oakland team that lost to Kansas City last week and got blown out Thursday Night in San Diego. Sharps think this game could right down to the wire if Denver isn’t focused. Strong early action on the dog. The total actually went up a tick to 48.5 from 48, which is weird for a December game in Denver.
ST. LOUIS AT ARIZONA: You almost never see a double digit line go UP! That’s what happened here, as an opener of -13.5 went up to -14. St. Louis has been blowout fodder vs. good teams lately. Arizona killed them on the road. I think we have some position taking here from sharps who are “betting the public” rather than betting the game. They think this like will go up even higher, and they want a shot at middling the key number of 14. Dog lovers can come back over the top if they wish at a higher spread. I’m tempted to say this move is more about position taking than love for a huge favorite. Sharps just don’t invest that heavily in pricey favorites no matter how bad the dog looks.
DALLAS AT PITTSBURGH: The total fell from 41.5 down to 39.5. That makes a lot of sense given how low scoring games have been in Pittsburgh in recent weeks. Weather could be an influence as well. I focus more on sides than totals myself in terms of the openers. I think 41.5 was probably a bad line. If the weather is going to be bad, we’ll see the number go even lower. The spread has settled in at Pittsburgh by 3. Most guys I’m talking to seem to think the sharps will be on Dallas pretty heavy come kickoff. They’re hoping the public hits the favorite and takes the number up higher. That DIDN’T happen when Pittsburgh hosted the NY Giants, or when Philadelphia did the same. Sharps and squares were on the same side there (the dog), and sportsbooks lost big. There’s some concern in Nevada this weekend that sharps and squares will both be on the Cowboys.
NEW ENGLAND AT SEATTLE: The total fell from 44 to 43. That’s the only news here. Not much interest on the team side. This game is similar to Jets/49ers in that an AFC East team has crossed the continent to face an NFC West squad. It’s a weird scenario, and sharps like having a history to back up their bets. If the public comes in on the Eastern favorites, I expect sharps to take those bonus points right before kickoff on the Western home underdogs. TAMPA BAY AT CAROLINA: Nothing’s happening lately. This will probably be a heavily bet game on Monday because ALL Monday Night games get a lot of action. How could the line move off -3? These teams are very evenly matched, and home field is worth a field goal. If the public hits the favorite (as always), we may see the number lift. That would just bring in sharp money on the dog though, and the risk for a disaster for the books if the game lands on a field goal. Most of the time, in this scenario, the public bets the favorites and the sportsbooks just root for the dog and hope for the best. Over the years, that’s worked out better than moving off the field goal. Sharps may not have much involvement here, as the sportsbooks themselves will take the risk on the dog.
Maybe in football Ace is a winner, but I bet he is a loser overall of all major sports...and his money management skills leave a little to be desired....Ace is doing a service to the RX and I applaud him for his efforts, but in the end you should just take what he gives you and make up your own mind....
Since you are into numbers more than I am, you are probably right...can't argue with sucess, 57% is a winner...but that number reflects your hard work and nowhere near the percentage of most players...

look at it this way
I been betting from .3 of a unit to 3 units this year...no plays over $3000
so you see a $300 play its less than a unit.
so if you think about it I'm a dime player that bets with my head and when I have a big edge I bet from 1-3 units like most of us do.

The measure of success is not his percentage of winning bets, but the relating amount of profit he made over any given period of time. Must think long term...never short.....It always helps when you dont need the money...than it becomes a game...to beat a sport.
