Well Ace, I want to put my three plays down in this thread cuz when I did it last week I went 3-0-1 and being somewhat superstitious, I gotta keep doing it while it's working. Hopefully I'll be around all season
ope:
Anyway, here it goes - wouldn't mind to hear your opinion on these:
Detroit +2 over DALLAS: After the first play of the Dallas game last week, it was obvious to everyone that the Cowboys were operating with 1/2 a playbook and were protecting Romo at all costs. Only because the Redskins are a mediocre team allowed Dallas to get the win but not the cover. In this spot, Romo's health hasn't changed much but they are playing a much stronger team. Detroit should put a lot of pressure on Romo and if they stop the run, who can he throw it to? Stafford should put up some points here and I don't expect much trouble with this game.
New England -5.5 over OAKLAND: I've watched every Oakland game this year and haven't lost betting on them yet so going against them here is not something I do lightly. New England is 19-2 SU and 15-6 ATS since 2005 after a regular season loss and Oakland just doesn't have the discipline to avoid the dumb penalty and mistakes so I expect the Patriots to simply outscore them. I hate being on the side of the public as this line has moved from 4 to 5.5 and will probably be 6 or 6.5 by kickoff but if it's the winning side, I guess it doesn't matter.
New York Jets +4.5 over BALTIMORE: The Ravens are actually my favorite team so I usually avoid their games but I can't help myself when I think there is easy money to be made. These teams have met a couple times since Rex moved over to the Jets and both times the games have been close. While I know the line is higher because the Jets defense appears weaker than the last couple of years, it is really hard for the Ravens to dominate good teams like the Jets. I fully expect another typical low-scoring game here with the margin around a field goal. Getting 4.5 feels like a gift.
I hope I'm on the same page as Ace, good luck to all. ^!:
