Three U.S. servicemen killed in Iraq
BAGHDAD (AP) — Assailants in Iraq killed three U.S. servicemen, one in the capital and two in the south of the troubled country, the U.S. command said Saturday.
Two Marines from the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit were killed on Friday "as a result of enemy action" in Najaf province, south of the capital, the military said in a statement.

In western Baghdad, an insurgent fired a rocket-propelled grenade at a patrolling U.S. vehicle, killing one soldier, the military said.

The names of those killed were withheld pending notification of next of kin.

You will be able to post this same exact article in 4 years if Bush wins - if Bush wins we will lose at least 3000 soldiers in Iraq in the next 4 years - does anyone give an eff about these kids? One more year at most - if it does not work out these kids have to come home - just because you make one mistake does not mean you need to make 5 more attempting to fix the first mistake.

Seymour....I think you're giving Bush way too much credit here....I believe the number "5" was passed a long, long time ago.....

When most people paint themselves into a corner, they admit thier mistake, and try to correct it and move on. The difference is when Bush paints himself into a corner, not only does he deny there is wet paint around him, but he's actually loading the paint roller up with paint and reaching out as far as he can....the paint doesn't even have a chance to dry and he's adding multiple coats on top....

But WWII was a real war, with an actual aggressor who, you know, started it. The Iraq war, by comparison, was not based on any sense of the usual criteria of defence, was entirely voluntary, and will likely escalate to catastrophic proportions if this administration is permitted to finish what it started. And by that, I don't mean implementing democracy in Iraq.

I watched David? Steyn last nite on Chris Matthews. He is a conservative and he said that we should get out because the Iraqys can't figure out a good thing when they see it...I almost agree.I think we have to hang in there as long as Allawi is hanging in there, it would be almost criminal to leave him hanging.
I can't understand what is up with this sadr dude..he should be in cuffs.

I would stay in Iraq if things were going to work out - but reality is they are not going to - these people are warped by religion - look at the fighting in Israel - IT IS NEVER ENDING - NEVER - EVER WILL IT STOP - WHY MUST WE BE PART OF THIS SHIT.

Who are you or any one to say what is or isn't good for the Iraqi people? If they think it's bogus (not a claim that has been explicitly stated) then what right does anyone have to tell them they're wrong? How much more arrogant can your foreign policy get?

I probably didn't frame his comments just right.
He stated more like they have been given a chance and they are rejecting it..so fxck em basically....He was straight forward but not arrogant like my my statment suggest.

MSNBC - honestly, I'm not sure. There is a building in Toronto, some kind of broadcaster, who have an MSNBC dish on their roof, so I guess so. Alot of people here pirate DirectTV and they would certainly get it.

Well, MSNBC has a program from 6am to 9am.Its the Don Imus show on radio also..You would love it its like this forum. With sound.
Imus is a strong Kerry guy by the way.But he has strong politcal figures from both sides of the isle on the show, and also from media like newsweak, fox, nbc, nytimes. His production crew is great too...you would laugh at all the namecalling that goes on.

6 am to 9 am? Are you nuts?????

If I'm up at that hour, and not at work, I'd better be having sex, not watching the news. Priorities, people!

Seymour is right....all the grandiose plans for the middle east won't work because the area is too steeped in religious zealotry....

The situation in Iraq is little more than the same version of the one playing out between the Israelis and the Palestinians....only difference is a few hundred miles and who gets killed....
