This ought to be a better round (I hope). Any thought of taking the Italians with the AH? They're playing awfully well lately.

Good luck!

I agree 100 percent! Italians have been strugglin, but there in a situation were they have to win! Like England and Spain and these 3 teams seem to be in a big struggle! England vs Crotia I see a draw, Italy should pull this victory tommorow and France has to win as well to get back on track. I think Spain has lost all hope after dumping Raul off the national team ! I still cant beleave that Holland axed Van Nistelrooy off the national team, and lately he has been on fire with Real Madrid :toast:

:WTF:

That seems stupid to me too.

I heard Ferdinand will be back for the English team. He was out last week with back spasms. Do you think he will be able to make a difference on Wednesday?

I do not see a major difference between him and ledley king. ferdinand is definitely much more experienced, but the crux of the problem now lies in the mdifield and attacking, where the lampard, rooney and co are not delivering the goods.

No mate not really! Englands problem is creating chances to score. I would have to say there defense and midfielders are pretty soild! But weak on the forwards! Not sure if taking the play maker Beckham was such a wise idea even though his age is starting to show! So my personal opinon is No Ferdinand wont make a big empact on the game tommorow! :toast:

If you watched the macedonia match you will have seen that the midfield struggled to support the forwards sufficiently. Lampard was too far into england's half to spray passes to the forwards. Thats just what i noticed.

England will be travelling to croatia with a midfield that has a combined cap total of around 50 (excluding lampard). This inexperience might show and it could like to more calls for beckham's return.

Don't overvalue the "must win" component of these games. Finishing second still gets it done in many instances so the really important must win games don't come until later or against teams that have a real chance to finish 2nd (i.e., Scotland in Italy and France's group). Spain is really the only "good" team in a tough spot at this point.
