I think the West comes down to Iowa and Nebraska. Wisconsin will be taken out early with their brutal schedule. Their only role will probably be spoiler. Neb/Iowa would probably be a tossup on a neutral field. Iowa's biggest obstacle this season is the lack of playmakers at the receiver and RB positions, which makes me doubt they can repeat what they did last year. The biggest thing going for them is their schedule. They'll be hosting Michigan, Wisconsin and Nebraska. They'll have a bye before going to Penn St. And their back to back road games are both very winnable against Minny and Purdue.. I can see this team being 7-0 or 6-1 at worst by the time they meet Wisky...But the Hawkeyes are a team who can't afford injuries this season. Especially to their OL. There's not much behind the starting five. If Beathard goes down they are probably screwed too. I also have my doubts they can repeat their +13 TO Margin from last season. I can see Iowa winning their division. But I think they will be playing a fair share of close games to get there.

ESPN doesn't know crap about the Big 10. They are SEC homers.

Ohio State will be #1 in the east, mark that shit down. I CAN NOT believe they are so undervalued this year. Sounds similar to two years ago when they were "rebuilding" and grew up during the year to smash everybody in their wake following their loss to VT. This year could be very much the same with an early loss to Okie, then skull fucking the rest of the conference. Although, you CAN NOT underestimate Urban in big games. He always comes through. That line will be down to 3, 6.5 is a gift and 7.5 was like a free Obama phone!
Michigan State will take #2. They "rebuilding" to? They will lay it on Michigan when they come to town. Michigan State has all their tough games at home. I worry more about them than Michigan.
Michigan #3. They will lose 3 in conference---MSU, OSU, and @ Iowa.

The west sucks donkeys besides Iowa bringing back so many starters. So sick of hearing about Nebraska, this isn't the 80's.

The difference between OSU 2014 and 2016 are less cupcakes on the dinner table and 2 seasons closer the the Urban Meyer breakdown. It's there, from afar you can see it. Urban is brilliant, but he's a cancer that spreads and the metastases are just about to be diagnosed. Perhaps Herman saw it and he fled for the first no name program to call. The drop off in offense was telling. Get used to Tim Beck educated qbs. Pray that Barrett is brilliant on his own, development will be sparse. Are the inmates running the assylum? Players calling out coaches or not wanting to play school. Then the wr coach must be medicating with the bottle, given the latenight twitter rants, insults and fight picking. Something has grown under his skin and there may be no cure. 9.5 season wins is vegas, not espn, begging you to take the over. It may go over, but I believe its a closer finish than most think. Perhaps the new talent wont underachieve, but damn that was a lot of talent that left....in recent history only Saban has overcome that kind of loss....non of the other southern semi-pro teams could pull it off, not even Meyer.

Northwestern? I guess that's the nature of the west. Another guy has money on Minny to win it. I think Thorsen is a below average qb, but the HC has probably proven himself to be the best on that side.
